I hope the original owner sees that his models found a good home

I can imagine them going back to the second hand shelf, and the original painter walking by the shop and just thinking 'damn, I guess I was pretty good at painting afterall'.

-but they dont look ✨special ✨
pulls out coolest infiltrator ive seen

I so wanna see more of this kinda rescue-restoration... where the original isn't paintstripped and lost forever, it's just cleaned up a little, neatened here and there. Takes a lot of skill to blend a new paintset into an existing one.
I loved this so much, keeping the original paint and all just made my soul happy.

Super-sneaky stealth unit called "infiltrators"? Of course it's going to be painted in BRIGHT YELLOW on a purple planet! That's peak 40K, love it!

Another EoB W. Jay did it again. Instead of insulting and dunking a secondhand model's paintjob, he kept it positive as usual.

Jay you gotta do more videos like this! Pimp my Minis: finding second hand figures and just enhancing what the old owner intended

@Mangia_Mandragole 2 years ago

Wish my miniature shop had used minis too

You could totally turn those into imperial fists and get a small Last wall protocol detachment to go with your black Templars.

I've been in a bit of a painting funk these past few weeks, but Jay, your enthusiasm, is rubbing off.

Tonight, we paint!

Hay, just sayen, black templars hail from emperial fists...

Thinking of what an honor it would be to see Jay picked up my models and gave them the New Game + treatment.

I love watching as Jay goes from being avid black templars to slowly slipping to just painting space marines whatever colours.

I love buying pre-owned miniatures to add to my blood angels chapter project. I especially love buying people's converted space marines to add to it. I love the idea of having these miniatures with a history I dont know about before finding their way into my army.

@jimbobfreddiewilson1 2 years ago

Ah yes, Luminous yellow, the most stealthy of colours.

Man, those are the cleanest most polished , shiny squeaky clean space marines in the galaxy, cant wait till they get some weathering and battle scarring. Those guys just stepped off the showroom floor, they look nice but way too new and perfect.
