I didn't know people had problems with vallejo primer until i saw a reddit post.

Thankfully, the person who taught me to paint had a very similar method to yours and i didn't know i was bypassing an issue 😂

General rules i was taught are- always wash the model, then iso wipe down before priming, and 1:2::thinner:paint is a good place to start when trying new brands/colors/etc

I can confirm it works.  I have  never had problems.

Will try the mix. I have used some drops Createx 4030 with Vallejo primer with great results. Rock hard finish. Doing right double action technique resolves problems with drytip in my case. Great video 👍

Hi! Thank you for sharing these techniques! I also can confirm that your mix formula works great! I can also confirm that your quick airbrush cleanning is quite practical and works fine. Thank you!

I just purchased my first Vellajo products, including the primer, thank you for the video.

So, is the formula for Vallejo primer 60% thinner and 40% primer?

Degreasing is always important. No matter what you spray.

Just ordered some of this primer. First order and new to airbrush. Now I will go look for your mix.

I tried it last night, about a 30/40% Quick Shine and 60/30% Black Vallejo Primer, it worked great, I also baked it in a Food Dehydrator like Barbatos Rex.   Previously I have thinned with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner, but the Quick Shine seems to work better and given and even smoother finish.  This morning I tried thinning Model Air with Quick Shine and the same results.
Thank for sharing.  Iain

"This is how cults start people!"  I laughed forever! Thanks for the excellent video. New sub.

Their sprays r awesome

What is your favorite acrylic primer?

I have noticed that I had problem sanding ammo mig shot but not vallejo. I don't if it happened because I didn't wait long, as I tried sanding as soon as it looked dry. I have always waited longer with vallejo but it has been always OK with sanding

Very good video. I do have a single bottle of Vallejo Primer (grey) and when I use it have always thinned it with their propriety thinner without problems, but will try your method to help reduce costs. I have also applied it with a broad chisel brush without the slightest problem. Great to see a video that debunks some of the modelling rubbish ideas floating around the scale universe. Well done and please keep on explaining modelling stuff.

What’s quick shine in 🇬🇧

I cant seem to find your formula, can you please show me where you have posted it, or if you wish to send on the link again. If any subscriber on this page is familiar with the formula, can you please send it to us.
I would really love to try it out, as opposed to "Vallejo Primer, Thinned to 60/40 (primer to mix formula) its really extremely vague, what is the 40 mix please.

So i see it’s 60% primer and 40% mix but what if I can’t control the pressure?  I have a very cheap compressor and it doesn’t have a gauge

I'm new to airbrushing, and would like to ask, which needle size is best for priming (or does it even matter.) ... my airbrush as a .3 .5 and .8 needle.

so the formula is a ratio of Quick shine to primer?

Which brand of sanding sponge did you use for sanding acrylic paint? I need to fix some spots because I used Vallejo primer, and when I applied masking tape, the paint peeled off and ruined my model. I am thinking about getting a 400-grit sponge from GodHand.

so, what is your favorite primer???
