A new home means a new beginning, a fresh start and, for the Beckwith family, that's exactly what they thought they were getting. But when a slumbering darkness from the past awakens. It will take them all to the brink of destruction. Will they make it out alive? Or will this evil consume their very souls? This is the untold story of the Beckwith family haunting in Connecticut, also known as the Hell house case, and this is not a story for the faint of heart.

Seymour, Connecticut, originally a farming settlement turned small industrial town in the nineteenth century. It would later become home to the HP & E-day company, which would evolve into the bic pen company. Today it's known for it's scenic beauty, sense of community and blue-collar living. But over the years, having previously been home to several Indian tribes. It has also been the scene of numerous altercations. Altercations which have spilt gallons of blood upon the earth. Perhaps those who suffered never truly left.

I appreciate the parents in this one believing the kids immediately.

I've had weird things happen in my house. Nothing bad, just unexplainable. I went to the courthouse for something, and one of the clerks yelled out "Hey you know your house is haunted, right?! It has a reputation in this town." 😮

If a demon told me to leave, I'd leave.

“There is a darkness that exists, an ancient evil that feeds upon fear and misery, that seeks to sow discord and destroy anything beautiful that it can.” Yep, they’re called politicians.

Grandma was the type to skip out on her family the second she got scared. 😂

This actually creeped me out. Usually I'm not scared but the way you told it...
Plus I live alone in the woods... and it's the middle of the night 😬😂😂😂😅🥲

Children always KNOW. Listen to thy child /children. The oldest daughter's intuition was on point.

The Beckwith haunting is one of my favorite hauntings to research! It seems to be that the older daughter is sensitive on some level!

I remember hearing this story on A Haunting. If they do the TV show of The Conjuring this better be one of the episodes or season

Great narration. I have had multiple paranormal experiences. Very real. Very scary. Buying a haunted house is terrible bc it is much harder to leave it. It got so bad in one rental house that me & my 2 roommates slept together in a queen sized bed. That was after weeks of increasing activity. That night, we encountered a demon. The next morning, 2 of us got hit on the forehead. We all moved out that day. We had PTSD for a year afterward. Absolutely terrifying to try and fight something we cannot see that exists in a parallel dimension.

This was a great listen! Seymour is my hometown. I grew up there into my teens, but I never heard this story! The only haunted house I knew of was Carousel Gardens. It was a huge old victorian house that operated as a restaurant for years and is now a cosmetology school. The Warren's also investigated that house, as well as my old paranormal investigation group.
