Jakarta, https://www.tvOnenews.com - Opening Up! About Luxury Prisons, Habib Bahar: Block B, Inmates with Lots of Money | tvOne
A row of buildings resembling cluster houses with luxurious facilities was discovered at the Class IIA Cibinong Prison, Bogor. During an inspection by the Indonesian Ombudsman, three corruption convicts were found occupying the cluster: Jimy Masrin, a convict in the fictitious LPEI (Indonesian Financial Services Authority) corruption case, and Ahmad Albani and Hasan Tjie, convicts in the PT Timah corruption case.
This discovery led to the dismissal of the prison warden and four other structural officials. Based on the recommendation of Commission XIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), 10 of the 13 cluster buildings were eventually demolished. The Ombudsman's investigation also stated that similar practices are not new and are suspected to occur in various prisons. So, who is at play, and how do special facilities for inmates come about?
