This was a very informative video! I switched from an inflatable PFD to a 22lbs floatation PFD. Reason being when I did a capsize drill there was too much of a delay in inflation. I ALWAYS wear my PFD and advocate safety to others. 🤙🤙🇺🇸😁

What if there are crocs inside, when towing the swimmer

There is a very simple way to learn how to get back into a canoe.  Solo or otherwise.

Learn how to roll out of your own canoe.  Or just jump out.  Preferably when it's hot.  Then get back in.  It's not hard, it's just a bit awkward, and it just takes practice and understanding of how a submerged canoe "works".

I suggest simply reaching across the gunnel/side you approach, and grabbing the opposite side.  "ump" out of the water to grab the other side. It will work.  The more you try it, the easier it gets.

If you cannot complete jumping out of your own canoe successfully, and getting back in...you're not ready.  Deathkiller Falls or not.

would be interesting to see the difference swimming with our without pfd.   And climbing into a canoe with or without pfd.
