I tried all 9 classes in WoW Forever as a new World of Warcraft player, this is my journey.
Paladin was the first class that clicked, but then Hunter completely changed after unlocking its pet. Druid showed me how much I value versatility, while Shaman turned my class decision into an Alliance-versus-Horde identity crisis.
Along the way, I started understanding why WoW’s combat is so satisfying. The first few levels can feel slow, but once these classes begin unlocking their core abilities, rotations, forms, pets, and utility, the game becomes significantly more engaging.
This isn’t an expert class guide or definitive tier list. It’s the honest journey of a new player learning the game, adapting to the combat, trying every class, completing my first dungeon, and slowly figuring out what I actually want from my first main.

also I really hope the veterans watching this won’t spoil too much for you or anything like that. I genuinely love watching you experience WoW as a new player and figure things out on your own —even if you end up with the “wrong” conclusions. I don’t even play WoW myself anymore, but your content is so interesting to watch, and the videos you’ve uploaded so far are really nice too, both in editing and storytelling.
you mentioned in your last video that you wont be looking up builds or guides or anything and I think its the right way to go about this.
Oh, and btw—what you said about the dwarf race is so relatable. The way a character carries themselves is so important, even down to walking animations. Even the coloring of ability icons can shape a class’s vibe. Might sound weird to some people, but the whole package has to click, so no need to apologize for not picking dwarf.

I have tried every other class of course... depending on the update, certain ones were more forgiving than others... An example of "Class Fantasy" was the occasional update where as a Rogue I could TANK a dungeon with high evasion and AOE + crit damage.
Tanking and Healing in dungeons as a Paladin was consistently my biggest rage inducing challenge. ... Aaand meeting or failing to meet the needs and demands of others was more memorable than most my time as Rogue.
What I LOVED about Rogue was the various utility ways to make yourself useful for the group, even if they often go unnoticed. If there was another Rogue in the group, there was a silent competition between us, and even if my DPS was worse I'd find other ways to compete.
During full wipes, I'd either be the only one to survive, or I'd be positioned perfectly to jump on the sword and save at least one other person with some of my CC cooldowns.
Still, I was the forever casual rogue that was basically useless in PVP.
