loved this, the sevii islands have always been extremely special to me, and the history proved to be really really interesting. Old gen Pokemon had more emphasis on the mystery of the world but the sevii islands always seemed to take it to another level

I NEED a Sevii Islands centered game, romhack or official, I don't care, I need MORE of this place!

People point out the geography of region inspiration all the time, but I really love how you go beyond that into geology and local culture in this video! I love the Sevii Islands and appreciate giving them some spotlight.

Two Island was a huge part of my childhood. I used to sell pokemon at school and offered to have the pokemon have certain moves on them, so the tutor there was a frequent place id visit. I even requested that every trade I did, had to be for a Paras or Parasect with a Tiny or Big Mushroom, that way I could use the mushrooms for the tutor. Paras quickly became my favorite pokemon, haveing boxes full of Paras I recieved from trades woth different players I met at school or when on vacation. Great video!!

FYI for anyone whos not aware (not mentioned on the vid) the NS ports of FRLG do give you access to Navel Rock and Birth Island Natively without any cheats, so yes, while back in the days it was a event locked situation that probably prompted to use cheat devices, is now fully accesible

One of my favourite parts about the Sevii Islands is seeing what custom game rom hacks set in a new region do with them. Pokémon Aquamarine's Manta Islands are a personal favourite of mine.

Ever since the first time I’ve played Pokémon fire red, the sevii islands had this mystical or rather magical vibe to them and really made the Kanto region a little more well rounded in my opinion.

This is such a well-researched video, great job! The Sevii Islands are some of my favorite areas to explore in FireRed and LeafGreen. Seven Island was also the location where I trained up a Pokémon to level 100 for the first time, just outside the house with the dancing Chansey.

Based on your commentary towards the end regarding Navel Rock and Birth Island, I'm assuming that the script for this video was written prior to the Switch re-release of FRLG?

soo there is this theory going on that the regi trio is based on nuclear bombs, this is a long and convoluted theory but in short, fans remarked the flowing:
- the regis are introduced in hoenn, the region based on the real life region of Kyüshū, the region containing Nagasaki
- regice and registeal's footprints look like nuclear bombing from the prospective of the pilot, regice's is a small dot just like haw the bomb looks when dropped, and registeal's is also a dot except it's srunded bay a sercal resembling a mushroom cloud forming from the bombs, regirock's on the other hand looks some what like a bug, some bugs like roches are knowen for resetting redation
- in gen 3 all the regis learn the move explosion at level 1, and all learn AncientPower at level 33 witch is named げんしのちから (Genshi no Chikara) witch means "Primordial power" but can also mean "Nuclear Power" under some conditions
- in order to open the caverns of the regis you need a Skitty, one of the smalest pokemon in the hoenn pokedex and a Wailord, the bigest pokemon in the hoenn pokedex, posibaly are refrens to the name of the bombs little boy and fat man
- and most important here: the braille in the under water cave reads that the people who bulet them survived there and sealed the pokemon away in fear of there power, just like we in real life buld bunkers under ground hide from nuclear explosions and avoid nuclear warfear in fear of it's destructive power

If this theory is to be bleved then the exestince of the same rightings in ruin valley as in the regi ruins may be a parallel to the miltary hestory of the island

In adtion to the implication that the regis passed bay the islands leading the people who fear them to buled tunnels there for protection or attempt to sealed them away there

This can be a parallel to the japanese empiirial army who bult the tunnels to fight agenst the amirican army who would later use the nuclear bombs agenst them forsing them to hide away from the redation

I wish there was a gold & silver rom hack that explored the orange islands
