"It's all Mitsubishi?..."
"Always has been."

It's not an F-35 it's a fixed wing helicopter

They are getting ready to fight kaiijus and godzila.

I wouldn't be surprised if Japan finally fields a fully functioning Gundam Mobile Suit and call it an advertising mascot.

Before video: Is it Japan?
2 seconds in: It is Japan.

2:45 ☆Not an Aircraft Carrier☆

They’re support vessels for Evangelion

Mitsubishi really do be making anything 😂

"Not a warship" class would be perfect for the US's  "Not a war" with Iran.

since there is JS Kaga I wonder if there will ever be a JS Akagi

I was part of the scientific party on a highly automated research vessel in the Antarctic.
The crew was very proud of their ship, insisting that from their control room overlooking the engines that they could monitor everything that was going on in the ship.
One day we started getting stinging fumes coming up from the lower decks. We asked the ships crew what was going on and they said everything was fine. They were just washing the engines
After another couple hours of the fumes, the scientific crew started using sniffers and other stuff to try to find the source of the fumes that were still stinging our eyes and throats.
Finally, one of the scientific crew started walking around and physically inspecting every location. He found that a boiler that was designed to keep the back deck ice free had gotten out of control and was red hot. The stinging fumes that we were experiencing were the result of the paint burning off the walls in the room that housed that boiler. There was no indication of any problem in the control room.
The message of this is if you trust your automation too much, you can get yourself into trouble. You still need human eyes looking at your environment.

kaga`s visit is not a friendly visit, its collecting a customer feedback

One day we’re gonna get USS Enterprise and JS Kaga together

Can't wait for the "Land Support-Fire Heavy Escort Ship" JMSDFS Yamato

Love the JMSDF. "Helicopter escort destroyers." It's great.

The problem with leanly manned warships is that in peacetime, they are great, you can maintain presence and commitments easy since you can split your personnel over more ships. But during wartime, those ships are a liability. With such low crew figures, a single hit is either gonna take out a substantial number of crew, or take down a system that the crew will then need to repair, during which they won't be able to continue to fight.

Whilst a more traditional size of crew allows the ship to continue the fight whilst dealing with damage control.

EDIT: As I finished writing this comment he covered this...

12:12 It's like those bridge of spaceships in Mobile Suit Gundam

The reason they don't have nukes is because all it would do is make godzilla bigger

00:29 dude, having nukes for self defence is the whole point of motivation of every country that currently has them.

The Mogami-class ships have a major weakness in exchange for their cost-effectiveness: because there are few personnel in each position, it is difficult for veteran sailors to provide on-the-job training to new recruits.
Consequently, the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force employs a strategy whereby recruits are first assigned to large escort vessels with high crew capacities—such as missile destroyers and aircraft carriers—where they receive on-the-job training from veteran sailors. Only sailors who have gained sufficient experience are then assigned to ships with manpower-efficient designs, such as the Mogami-class, which serve as the vanguard of the fleet and undertake the most dangerous missions.
