Just a little reminder that our dear cat girl here has less rizz and game than a literal robot😂

Ah, my childhood favorite that gets better as an adult. 🥰

An interesting tidbit about the Autopilot:
All robots are usually voiced by humans, put through a filter or twelve, and it's good.
But Auto was supposed to be completely unemotional, pure logic, not human. So they typed his lines in the MacOS X text-to-speech and recorded that.

" I don't want to SURVIVE, I want to LIVE!" is still hands down my favorite quote from this film.

This movie is one of the best cinematic cases of "Show, don't tell."

Most of the main robot characters don't talk, yet they're able to convey so much character in them.

The opening 10 mins of WALL-E and UP will forever be the greatest things created by Pixar.

That moment where she repairs him and he doesnt recognize her is so heart wrenching.

26:15 The humans were SUPPOSED to be in space for 5 years and then come back to Earth assuming all the other Wall-Es have cleaned up Earth and the plants have returned on their own. But instead they’ve been in space for 700 years because all the other Wall-Es broke down and couldn’t do their jobs. Our Wall-E was the only Wall-E still functioning, and he’s been doing his job for the past 700 years. And because all the other Wall-Es were broken, they couldn’t clean up Earth as quickly as the humans expected, and the plant life took longer to come back. The EVE bots were programmed to scout Earth for plant life, but never came back positive. Also the fact that Auto followed the A-113 directive to not return to Earth he kept humanity in space and caused them to become fat blobs.

Fun easter egg about Directive A-113
The code references classroom A113 at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), where many Pixar animators and directors, including John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton, studied animation. (yes, I copied and pasted).
Pixar is amazing at making stories so personal, even without words. The first 5 minutes of Up will prove that all day long.

BNL is always in Pixar movies.
At first they only produced batteries for toys or something, and they kept growing until they took over the world in wall-e

Cried at a robot movie doesn't want to post on YouTube anymore... "Let's watch up next" ... You sooo cooked

"If I watched this as a child, I wouldn't be ablet sleep."  My Gen X self:  "My sweet summer child."

I think one of my favorite parts is that the credits show you 50 to 100 years into the future. Eve and wall-E are still together looking at the plant sprout that grew into a full tree. Also that the humans are back to normal with earth healed.

Rare for credits to give you a timelapse like that

the WAll-E we know is the last one standing, as you see he recyccled the other non-functioning WAll-Es as need for spare parts so he could repair himself and over time 'learned'  slowly developing his personality.
Also the end credits are a after sense if you watch them tell It tells the story of after they landed and the world developing over time.  can see robots helping, humans getting thinner, etc.

18:50
That could be taken waaaay out of context if cut too soon. 😂 😂

It was fun seeing you fall in love with this film like so many of us did. It really is such a gem.

Thomas Newman made one of the most emotionally moving scores of all time with WALL·E! It’s whimsical, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and inspirational all at the same time. And Peter Gabriel’s ”Down To Earth” never fails to make me cry during the credits.

22:15 I gotchu!
"OMG" x 72
"So cute" x 37

one of the only robots that have some human emotions next to iron giant

Wall-E might just be my favorite childhood movie
