I don’t know why some influencers keep hyping up feather crochet.  I used them once and they tore my hair up.

I just made a crochet wig for my vacation coming up and I love it. I was so nervous about tying knots all over my hair. Most creators I watched who recommended feather crochet human hair take their hair down soon after so when they say the take down is easy, they’re not speaking as someone who kept the style. So I opted to make a wig. This is the lightest wig I’ve ever worn. Very great for summer. It was fast to make and it blends easy. But I’ve had it for a week so time will tell. Making a wig, I did need more packs then if I just attached the hair to my braids but I’m glad I didn’t risk my real hair.
Also I wash my hair every 7-10 days so I needed something I can remove and re install easily

That’s all I needed Ñot to buy it

you don't have to tie a knot in the hair, just loop it around a second time.

Good looking out Sis😮😊

I’ve done miracle knots twice and BOTH times my fine hair has been ripped out by the feather crochet hair. I had to cut my hair into this short bob and it’s so thin 😔

Thank you for you much valued opinion!

Thats why i didn't get them tying a string around my braids eek

Meka! Get'em! You are correct! Bundles are tried and true.

When I first saw this trend, I thought about microbraids and  tree braids. For the amount of work the miracle knots require, either of those two styles could be accomplished in that same time frame. Hair can be shampooed, edges saved, and protection rather than damage is occurring. Also, the knotless boho braids are a good alternative. And if they just want to stay away from synthetic braiding hair, use the bulk human used for microbraids and tree braids.

The other thing I noticed is that no one shampooed the hair before installing and those strings are probably nylon, which cuts through human hair. I love a good shortcut but not at the expense of my hair or my clients hair.

I doubted you at first, but I'M WITH YOU WHEN YOU RIGHT AND IMA STAY HERE! 💯💯💯

My thoughts on those strings too… just getting caught up in hair and matted down in hair too. This is Asia selling us down the river lowkey. Peep game my sis, and look out. A better solution would be to remove the string and use hair that’s looped. And a quality loop.

8 toes down 😂😂😂 thank you for sharing this. i have been on the fence and already have wefts, i just need to learn how to make a wig, and im good 😊😉💛

I haven’t seen anyone Quashie that feather crochet here in in a traditional sense I’ve seen it added at the end of the plate and crocheted through somehow where they didn’t have to tie a knot. I know I can say that better but I can’t think of how to right now But I understand what you’re saying as well when it makes sense it looks interesting. I don’t have enough hair for it. I’m growing out of pixie. I’m still bald so I don’t know.

Thank you for your opinion. I recently did mine 2 weeks ago. I love it for the quick braided singles look....mine is wet and wavy from Luv me and string is pretty strong.  I didnt do the traditional crochet crowrow Method. If you knot it it should slide right out when you take it down with very little shedding.

If you install it right with the anchor braid, everything comes out but I also understand it can be a nightmare if you’re too excited and just not planning the braid pattern out. I find the knot less braids are great.

O...M...Gosh! I JUST went to the store today and spent a ton on this new feather crochet hair 😖. I didn't even think about it breaking off my hair 😢. Ugh! I've been doing crochet on and off since the early 2000s if not earlier. I only wish I had come across your video before walking out of the house today.

Those strings are so long! I can see them after the install and it's an eyesore! I use traditional synthetic crochet hair to make my wigs.

I just installed some jumbo miracle knots. I was careful installing and used oil on the thread and didn’t actually knot it (I just twisted them) but I’m still concerned my fine hair will need a big chop after bc cotton rubbing on hair. But the upside is it’s extremely lightweight and I can access my scalp to treat it and wash it and I just get up and go. Human hair wigs made with wefted hair can be so heavy, the tension pulls out hair from the combs, if there’s lace it’s high maintenance not to mention glue and spray damaging the hairline. I love how light my head feels like I don’t have extensions in. All of our styles damage our hair in one way or another except for maybe sister locs but it’s permanent.

I used it to do miracle knots on my fine hair. The take down what horrible. Ripped my hair during the take down. I’ve used it for regular crochet a few times, it did good but did have a few that I had to cut out.

I like to listen and learn from others. It just so happened I went to my stylist and got this technique. I really like it much better than the wefts (sp). I wonder if it is the technique used because I did not have damage or excess hair come out. Due to the concern, I will bring it up to my stylist. Yes, the hair costs but we did use it twice and it was stellar both times.
