In a world where everyone shares endless content, one of the most thoughtful performers in the world left so few real candid interviews. Thanks to Mr Maron for this gem. It will live on forever, long after you and I are gone.
I literally ran into Robin Williams twice within 15 minutes one night in Mill Valley, California. I was a 16 year old kid riding around on my bike and we had a funny exchange where I said, "We have to stop meeting like this Mr. Williams." He laughed and we just parted like it was no big deal. Just a humorous exchange in a coincidental moment and I cherish it to this day. He was a presence I am glad I got to witness during my lifetime. About to listen now. Should be awesome!!!
I grew up on Mr Williams’ movies and Mork & Mindy.. watched probably hundreds of his interviews and appearances in recent years on YT but never heard him having such an open and candid conversation with anyone. He even spoke about contemplating suicide… :( I hope he went out knowing that millions of us loved him and will never forget him. Thanks for uploading this!
I've listened to wtf for around. 6 years and promised myself for years to listen to this interview. Finally did it last night, and it didn't disappoint.
It's a real thing of beauty. So honest and down to earth, and as others commented on here, its the only time ive heard Robin and hes not been 'on'.
Takes a comedian to spark another comedian, and Marc was beyond the perfect interviewer here, and shines a massive light as to why wtf is so highly regarded.
Thank you Marc and forever grateful to Robin for his comedy and his acting and his honesty.
Great to hear Robin’s voice, really miss him here in the Bay Area as I used to see him at the bike shop in Marin. Fucking killer interview, Thank God we have these things to remember him by, well done Marc!
Robin must've felt so peaceful about his life after this conversation. This conversation is the gift that will keep on giving. Thanks, Marc. Loved you in "Stick".
