It feels incredible to see my car on YouTube! Thanks JJ.

The UK loves rust buckets like Ford, and euro box Renault and Citroen. Ask them what they think of Honda (a far superior car), and they'll say, "it's a old persons car".

I own a Lexus IS 6-cylinder petrol... year 1999... today it has 440,000 km, 26 years old and it still runs... .. Original engine, original water pump, radiator, power steering, etc. Clutch redone at 380,000 km. Original brake calipers, original front suspension, rear suspension changed at 415,000 km. Always used with sporty driving, acceleration, and speed --- never dies...

I saved up for a second hand 2007 and loved every moment and never had a issue the 3 years I had it. Understated Elegance

I’ve owned an 07 IS250 awd since new;(now at 191k miles)…
To prevent carbon build up I recommend a group four synthetic oil…preferably a thin 5w-40 like pensoil ultra euro…changed at 3k miles or sooner along with Liqui moly MOS02.
Unplanned but reasonable service/repairs include:( 120k, alternator, radiator at 130k( mechanics fault for breaking radiator neck)…water pump every 5 years water pump and pulleys(longer if you change the coolant, yearly). Spark plugs every 60k.
181k miles, I had to replace the grounding cable from the battery to ground.
Front and rear diff fluid every 20k-30k miles.
The transmission fluid has been changed three or four times in it’s life…
These cars like to go thru rear calipers and discs; if ceramic pads are used…If you switch to the dustier semi metallic…you’ll get more life out of the rear calipers/discs…about 20k miles  instead of 10k miles).
Tires A 225/50/16 tire rides better than the thinner factory recommendation…Rear tires inflated higher than fronts;(per the factory).
Happy motoring to whom ever reads this.
Edit: The car is still fun to drive and does exceptionally well in the rain; and even can handle snowy conditions, with the right tire choice.

It is interesting why Lexus and Subaru are popular everywhere but here in the UK.

Love lexus. Very well built cars.

Second generation IS has aged well 20 years later

I bought a IS250C from 2008 with more than 200k km last year...no issue or noise so far, drives really well...

Got a lexus is300h recently and in love with it. From here on out it's only going to be Lexus

I've had an is220d on 250k miles and it ran absolutely flawlessly

Had an is300h for 10 years. Fantastic car. As quiet and smooth today, as it was when I bought it. Does 48 mpg consistently and only had usual wear and tear repairs done.(brakes and tyres) As JJ said, no slouch away from the lights in sports mode. Not so much as drivrrs car like BMW but it's not in garage all the time, with brain damage bills. I have had Mercedes cars and this, as an all rounder, comfort and reliability  is the best I've had/ driven. Real value for money.

07 IS250 here, still a great drive, sunroof and Levinson stereo make it very special!

I purchased a ES300H coming from many BMW’s and must say I am so impressed. . They are so well built and refined and their customer service is first class and if you service at Lexus you get another full years warranty.

I bought IS 3rd gen new in 2021. Last one that was available in Europe. It’s a hybrid. Yes, I love it and enjoy every moment at the wheel. Also, good friend of mine had IS 200 1st gen. Never drove IS 2nd gen but always liked how it looks. Cheers to all IS owners, it’s an amazing car.

Mate, at this point you only need a 4k camera and you can continue booming with this channel. Amazing work.

I’m guessing Britain rejected it because Jeremy Whatsisname probably smarmily turned his nose up at it to get a cheap laugh.

Criminally underrated cars! More kit and exclusive than anything Germany had to offer at the time. Had my IS250 F-Sport for 3 years now, love it!

I had an IS250 for a couple of years and it was lovely.  It was like an old style “pre accountants” Mercedes, of which I owned many, from the 1990s (that’s a good thing) solid on the road, very quiet, no squeaking, no rattles, silky V6, better quality seats than any Merc for years and all the bells and whistles.  And you knew that hiding underneath was a very well built Toyota.  Maybe not exciting and hardly economic or roomy but if you want an older, quality, small luxury saloon it beats a 3 series or a C Class by many a mile.

I've recently bought IS250 in F Sport from 2010 it's great
