This concert I was not able to go that evening, so my mother was going in place for me together with my sister. When they come back, my mother was of that moment the biggest fan of the Dire Straits. She bought every CD at that time. Five years later on 23 Januari 1997 my mother died on cancer. She was just 45 years old. Today I'm so thankful that my mother had the most biggest and beautiful moment of her live with this specific concert! Thank you DIre Straits for giving my mom that experience. 😪
Please stop those „who’s listening in 20XX“ questions. Songs like these won’t be released anymore ever. 😢Obviously, people will listen to this song in 30XX.
The greatest and most beautiful anti-war song ever written. As we come up to Armistice Day everyone should listen to this. War is not about victory. It is about human failure.Good people die needlessly while the criminals sit in their air-conditioned offices and soak up the glory.,
