Been binging this old footage. Thanks for posting.

38 years ago this year I was born 1987

It’s wild Dan Harrington made 4 final tables this one when he won the main in 95 and of course 2003/2004 insanity

"We will see plenty more of Howard Lederer in the next few years". Ain't that a fact people?

I didn’t know that Dan Harrington was at this final table. That’s crazy

Liked and subscribed, thank you for posting this rare footage!

38:21 The commentator misread the board on that occasion. Chan won with a 3 high flush.

i was expecting during the opening to hear   its aces high  with sam rothstein  lol

Just came here to say "Johhny Fing Chan"

THANKS!RESPECT!!!

30:04 Dude interviewing Johnny Chan and asking him his strategy for the day... Chan says he plays slow, tight... He said he has great hands when he pushed... Exactly what Johnny wants his opponent to think

A-9 has hit as an underdog to win the WSOP Main man times... I know Chris Ferguson his a 9 on the river vs T.J's AQ heads up... not sure if it was the final hand, but it was theoretically the last hand, they had similar stacks

Look how the player pool has changed for the worst today. The final tables these days are filled with dorkz.

The poker "hall of fame" is so depressing in person

"All you need is a $10,000 entry fee."

Is that all? Well, lemme pay two entry fees.

$625,000 and $250,000 for 2nd...  coinflip 44 vs A-9 and a 9 hits on the river for $375,000 extra

even back then Howard Lederer's ego was through the roof!

Howard is that guy that has to put on a HUMBLE act, because he feels nothing of it... the humble brag king... Howard saying "I wasn't confident I'd make it to the final table in my first year" is screaming "I know I am very good, I'll make the final table in 3 or 5 years, but look at me now... in my first WSOP Main, at 23 years old, I made it to the Final Table.

Insane how Top-Heavy the payouts were back then... $625,000/ $250,000/ $125000/ 75k and 52k... I've been on both ends... Winning a major tournament and getting 2nd in a WSOP event. $347k and 179k for second... It crazy to think you are playing heads-up for for $150,000... Crazy because Heads-up generally boils down to short stacks compared to BB and its 100% correct to push and call with 99/ 10-10 vs KQ, AJ... Tournament poker is nuts like that... You play beautiful poker for 3 days and when you get 3 handed, heads up... It is determined by coin flips...

Why did Ciaffone get eliminated?  Doesn't a spade flush beat two pair?
