John Mayer says more words each day before breakfast than you say all day long.

Billy Joel is such a good interviewer, he really makes John Mayer open up <3

When Billy says he opened up for Bill Withers, give the interview room for a detour.

Billy Joel has changed my views on music. I discovered Billy Joel in late 2023, and as a self taught pianist who can play a lot of his songs, I truly believe Billy Joel has been given a very unique talent. He's an amazing artist who has transformed the lives of millions, and I hope he realizes that.

If John has ADHD, it shows very much in this interview. Either way, his enthusiastic jitteriness is endearing. ❤

I'm 53 and I'm still pretty young looking for my age; but my GOD I thought John was only in his late 30's or something.... 47 years old. Wow he looks fantastic. This was a GREAT interview John, and I love your music. Thank you.

big fan of both

It’s so weird hearing John talk almost like he’s at the end of his career. Yet at the same time, I know he’s been at it for 25 years already. And now I feel old.

Great interview John! I enjoyed every second of it. ❤

John Mayer can never, will never come even close to having the magic that Billy Joel has.

I think the reason Billy is selling more tickets now is a few things.  One, there is very little new music being created now.  Two, great music will always be popular and Three, the generation that grew up listening to Billy are becoming nostalgic and wanting to reminisce the “good ol days and listen to the music they grew up listening to.

Two of the worlds’ most talented and prolific musicians speaking so humbly and honestly-what a delightful joy this was-thank you John and Billy.  You both are legendary yet still so very human.  Your music has enriched more lives than you could ever possibly imagine.

25:35. Good Christ that's a well-written song, love the insight. GREAT question John Mayer and now go listen to "And So it Goes"  right now.  "But you can make decisions too and you can have this heart to break". What a lyric.

That piece Billy played at the end was beautiful!!!!!

Billy says he couldnt believe when the shows started selling out and ramping up. He seems to forget that the music he wrote is TIMELESS.

John Mayer Interviews Billy Joel:

John Mayer talks, John Mayer talks, John Mayer talks
Billy Joel looks on

This is a wonderful interview - as a musician, I really appreciated your questions. The only thing I have to say: please give your guests more space to respond! It’s nice that there’s friendly convo between you, and your feedback is great, but,John, please lay back a bit lol….

Billy - pure genius!!!🥰🥰

I need these two gifted artists to record their conversations once a month… forever!  For a fellow musician, this is priceless!
