No joke, one of the greatest moments in cinema history.

first time in the theatre seeing this was epic

2:13 Just imagine how it felt for all the real life paleontologists, scientists, archaeologists, and many other researchers who spent most of their lives studying and learning about these creatures to see them right in front of them for the very first time. Seeing this in the theater was one of the most unbelievable experiences you’ll ever have. You just had to be there.

Rest in peace Sam Neil

Welcome To Jurassic Park.

My dad snuck me and my older brother out to see this (without mom knowing haha), I was 8. I remember being terrified (later on) but this one sequence, accompanied by one of John Williams most brilliant musical scores, remains to this day a core childhood memory. I was in absolute awe.
For me personally, this scene will never be topped by anything.

".....in 48 hours if they're not convinced, I'm not convinced", he says, and I'd say that expression is spoken backwards.

I had read the book. When I learned that someone, even Steven Spielberg, was going to attempt this, I was horrified. No way could someone pull this off, make these iconic creatures look, move, sound, ACT real. When I left the theater, I was shaking in pure jubilation. My every expectation had been exceeded, including the nightmare that the story turned into. The only thing that I wish had been included was a line in the book that wasn't in the film: the chopper gets to the island and the pilot asks who is in charge - Grant answers: no one. The second half of the movie, and all of the movies since, have only confirmed Ian Malcolm warning: The scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could they never asked if they should and before you knew what you had you slapped it on a lunchbox.

Welcome to Jurassic Park for Dr. Alan Grant. 🦕🦖 - To the beloved tribute and memory of Sam Neill (1947-2026) RIP.

In 1993 you are watching the amazing movie Jurassic Park for the first time in the theater. You are sitting in amazement as you see a giant dinosaur on the screen for the first time. The children who screamed at this amazing movie back then are now watching this movie with their own children with same great excitement. How helpful this scene is in taking us back to those memories.

2:14.

In 1993, a million jaws hit the floor simultaneously.

"In forty eight hours I’LL be accepting YOUR apologies!" Welp……😂😂😂😂😂

I was 17 years old in 1993 when this movie came out  - I wish I could go back to the 90s

JURASSIC PARK remains one amazing movie. I was blown away first time seeing it in 1993.

I get misty eyed every time I see the brachiosaurus. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

(and note it's because I read from the production team that particular one is related to a key scene in Fallen Kingdom that I will never ever watch that movie and have given up on the franchise.)

No one does epic reaction shots like Steven Spielberg.

Such a classic John Wiliams score!

3:51 Welcome to Jurassic Park

I took my kids to see this on opening day in 1993. I’m 65 years old now, and I’ve never had a more incredible experience at a movie before or since. It was absolutely amazing! Better than Star Wars in 1977.

Best scene in the movie.
