The second-generation MOCO underwent a full model change in February 2006.
Like its predecessor, it was sold as an OEM product supplied by Suzuki. While the first-generation MOCO only had a grille change,
this second-generation MOCO features a grille, headlights, and bumper that are all exclusive to this model, clearly differentiating it from the Suzuki version.
Furthermore, the interior is also a Nissan-exclusive design, different from the Suzuki version, giving it a more upscale image.
The exterior emphasizes Nissan's distinctive style while also pursuing a stylish design.

In addition, despite being an OEM model, it features an elaborate front grille, bumper, fog lamps, and headlights that are exclusive to this model and differ from those of the MR Wagon, adding a touch of cuteness.
Beyond the front, the exterior boasts a more dynamic waistline, emotionally evocative body side styling, wide-looking window graphics, and rear combination lamps, demonstrating a greater attention to detail than its predecessor.
The interior also focuses on creating a stylish and comfortable space, featuring two interior color options, a large speedometer with the shift position positioned in the center, an easy-to-use instrument panel shifter, and seat upholstery and door trim with the Moco logo, further enhancing the quality and differentiating it from Suzuki models.
Convenient features include rear seats with a sliding mechanism, reclining function, and one-touch fold-down function for improved usability.
The traditional under-seat storage box and numerous other storage spaces are also included.
Furthermore, an intelligent key or remote control entry system is offered for the first time, depending on the trim level. The engine, continuing from its predecessor, is an all-aluminum K6A DOHC naturally aspirated engine with VVT and a timing chain, used in all grades.
Higher grades feature a mild turbo with an intercooler, making it easy to handle in city driving, while also allowing for powerful acceleration. The suspension uses a strut-type front suspension and an isolated trailing link type rear suspension.
For comfort, an upper vent is standard on all grades.
This provides a comfortable, gentle indirect airflow and ensures uniform heating and cooling in the front and rear seats.
Furthermore, odor-eliminating seats and a sound-absorbing/odor-eliminating headliner are standard on all models, a first for a kei car.
Safety features include a security alarm and ABS to prevent theft, a driver's seatbelt with a 2-stage load limiter and pretensioner, a passenger seatbelt with a load limiter and pretensioner, and driver and passenger SRS airbag systems, all standard on all grades.
