This week started with another wobble about where to go next.
I nearly headed towards Wales after spotting a tempting property, but after changing my search terms, Lincolnshire produced a few more possibilities — so I decided to stay and properly test the area I’m already in.
I’ve moved from Woodhall Spa to North Lincolnshire, near Heapham, and the drive here took me through some lovely villages and more undulating countryside than I expected. I’m still learning this part of Lincolnshire, but the wide skies, local walks, old airfield and characterful villages have given me more to think about.
This week I had two possible properties in mind: an auction cottage and a corporate-sale property. The auction cottage looked interesting on paper, with a good-sized garden, walks nearby and an unusual setting — but after going to look at the outside, the amount of work, garden clearance, road noise and dog-walk compromise made me decide not to attend the formal viewing.
That leaves one viewing booked: a corporate-sale property that is reasonably priced, has already attracted interest, and involves another new buying process for me to understand.
The search is still not straightforward, but Lincolnshire is producing more realistic options than many other areas I’ve looked at — so for now, I’m staying open-minded and keeping going.
Thanks so much for watching and following the journey.
