There are 42 killers in Dead by Daylight as of posting, all of them being unique in their own way. However, a constant among all of them is how each hit with their base weapon is guaranteed to take one health state regardless of what the weapon is. This leads to a lot of unrealistic scenarios, so in this video, I go over how realistically harmful each weapon would actually be.

Fun fact, Vecna's afterthought does an average of 16 damage on hit, a normal human has 4 health. His knife, without the lingering damage, would be able to kill you 4 times over

I think we’re forgetting theses weapons have never been washed. I can’t imagine the type of diseases you would get from the dredges arm or the plagues sensor 😭

Trickster's weapon isn't meant to be deadly he wants to torture people for there screams not just immediately kill them.

I honestly think you really underestimate how dangerous are bludgeoning wepons. Baseball bat could easly kill you in one solid swing if hitting a head.

Blight's cane should be bumped up to short term damage as its description specifies that the cane is weighted. Getting cracked upside the head is definitely a potential concussion.

I get it, but what most people don't think about is, isn't it basically like a flail? Both are blunt, have spikes, and can be devastating enough to crack one's skull.

The Kagune should definitely go in the highest tier. Their first showing is Kaneki himself getting a hole punched through his stomach and slammed into construction so hard it collapses steel beams. It’s on level with a Nemesis punch at the very least

Springtrap's pizza knife shouldn't be lumped with the "small" knives category. If you actually look at how large that thing is, both in-game and in reality, those things are basically giant cleavers or about average-sized short swords ready to do some serious damage. Now given the cutter's size, thickness and presumed sharpness, that thing deserves to be higher than a lot of other weapons.

Reminder, plagues incensor has active incense in it which means that besides being heavy, spiked and dangerous, it's also incredibly hot as those incensors are always quite hot when being used as metal doesn't really help with stopping heat.

Someone finally gives the dredge's weapon actual thought, it's like nemesis's fists in a way, if swung by anyone else, It probably wouldnt do much, but taking into account that the one using it is literally the manifestation of dark thougths and evil and an eldritch abomination, it's probably gonna do a lot of damage.
Also, based on the addons, the appendage might have bone shards or even a tilling blade forming It, which adds to It.

Vecna's afterthought dagger getting its first official rendering from dead by daylight is crazy. Dbd art team essentially decided how that weapon is going to look in Canon going forward for decades.

Also one thing to note about Vecna is that commoners (aka, a regular human being like you or me) have between 1 and 4 hitpoints. So not only are you rotting away after getting hit by the Afterthought Dagger, you're rotting away in less than six seconds

Blight's cane would probably cave into your skull in one swing because its kinda shaped like a pick and that shape is just really great for puncturing throught something like a cranium (plus he's the one swinging it)
Also Pinhead's chains are actually incredibly strong and in canon comics there's panels where he uses them to cut throught metal (somehow idk bruh)
