After four and a half years in contact with soil and moisture, the planks of this raised bed are starting to fall apart. It's time to replace them with a more durable solution!

In this video, I transform my first raised bed using 24 10cm concrete blocks, laid without mortar in a small trench.

Why such narrow blocks? Simply to maintain enough space in my garden paths. Now I just need to see if they'll be stable enough to hold the soil without tipping over.

Raised bed dimensions: 5.10 × 1.10 m
Usable width: approximately 90 cm
Total cost: €22.80
Project time: approximately 3 hours

This first raised bed will serve as a test during the fall and winter. If it holds up, I can use the same method to gradually replace the other wooden borders in the vegetable garden.
