SO MANY YEARS AGO , WHEN I FIRST GOT THE HDP.50 , i remember thinking , i was going to take it completely apart redo everything to a perfection , omG ! , I HAD NO IDEA ,it would take me from late october to early april  , 5 & 1/2 months if memory serves me right , i address all thought of and taughts of problems i or all of us could think of  , it is all written down in one of my many notebooks lol ! .
 before buying the tuning firing pins , i tried adding more space into the bolt bumper space , of many different mediums including o-rings , i learned quick ,  too much and f.pin doesn't seal or set . but this may give you a little extra space you are looking for if you find the sweet spot . . its a jerry rig way to create your own version of a tuning pin lol ! .
now on the added washer on f.pin , what you do is , take an ULTRA-FINE MARKS -A - LOT  , and follow the original design of the bolt exhaust end and mark out the parts of washer you want to remove , take it apart , use a dremel to eat away the marked parts of washer , put it back together without lock tight and test .
the washer may have to be pinned to the bolt to prevent it from eventually moving , or , it may stay in place when the pin is lock tighten , dunno ?
if i had the equipment , i would have re-designed the bolt completely , one thing i would have done , is add a forcing cone type shape to the exhaust end of the bolt , so no more air is sent  only through barrel and not down the loading tube past the "sealing/loading gate .i too just recently shattered a followers in one of my hdp's  , i think i may upgrade by turning a 1/4 inch universal joint out of my socket kit , into a metal follower lol !!! .
i have given a few things to be done , but there are always a million more to try ! lol !!!

I think you have to pair it with a larger air chamber and hpa if you want to see better numbers

Hdr50 tuning barrel though right... So it doesn't turn when installing any type of extensions 💯🤟😊

Hello, been watching your videos for 2 day’s straight, your knowledge in these guns and being able to express all that in video got me buying my first umarex HDP .50 Gen2 13J😅 I want to be able to use it only in hot situations, it will be sitting mainly in my drawer. What mods you would offer to do cuz I seen many many you have done? I want to keep it as stock and simple as it could be, max joules I summon pushing of it is 20-25. So what would be your choice for such a specific simple default? Main point to have stable shots for atleast 8-12 shots, I seen your videos getting same joules for atleast 8-10 shots, that looks really promising. That what encourages me, to have simple powerul default gun, I want to keep restrictor for co2(default, modded with drilled bigger hole, or even new modded restrictor is fine)? 2nd there is no valve block in this 13J model am I right? 3rd is default barrel capable of reaching 20-25J? And last think I still doubting what stainless steel balls to use it on this simple bit modded default barrel 12.7 or 12.5? I want it to be stable and capable to just pick up and use it without jamming or dropping balls out of barrel😅 and thanks for your videos, you made so much in these years its unbelievable how much mods this gun could have

Lol that was obsessee with that fkin tx68 until I bought it 2yrs ago only to find its most likely remaining stock at 40-50j. I thought it would be what the HDB ended up becoming. Now I dont lnow what to do with it

Hey bro, you said that with the HDX bolt AND Tuning Pin, it seems like it will start releasing air sooner than with the stock bolt. Hear me out....what if you use the longer HDX bolt, BUT WITH A LONGER, STOCK LENGTH, HDX APPROPRIATE FIRING PIN INSTEAD? That might give u the same HDP gas release point you were looking for? IDK, just a thought.
