That's a darn shame - I was considering the cheaper cards as an option.  Good thing you tested them!

Look at Chief doing important scientific work and testing things. I'm certain, that there is a science degree coming your way ;)
Jokes aside, it is great that you do these videos and put a light (no pun intended) on the differences in UV-light, so that these lovely animals get what they need :D

Great review.  First one  I have seen done so well and clear.

Thank you! This was very enLIGHTenting 😁😁

So glad I watched this. Thanks man

Thank you this video was very helpful!

Thankyou for doing the test for me. It was very helpful.

I got those cards thankfully I haven’t gotten my monitor yet however I was wondering about them and you just confirmed my thoughts thank you!!

Thank you for sharing this!

Wish I watched this before buying the cards. I got really concerned when it didn't turn obviously purple after I tried testing my UVB bulb but now I know it was just picking up UVA. Will be purchasing a solarmeter soon!

Great great great video, that's clears up a lot.

Great video!!  I was wondering myself if these cards worked.

Good stuff, I’ve seen some “reptile influencers” promoting these cards and it drives me insane!

thank you so much! i bought a card like a year ago i think along with my UVB bulb & lost it. i was going to buy a new one but grew skeptical of the packaging saying that it detected /just/ UV rays. i don't know how that escaped me the first time!

I was immediately skeptical of these when I saw them but went looking for more info and I'm glad I did lol thank you or making this!

If you happen to see, do you know what the reading on a solarmeter should be for a bearded dragon? I'm always super nervous about if my guy is getting too much or not enough, if the bulb is at the right distance, and if the bulb is still working, so getting one is definitely in the plans now but I can't find anything online saying what the reading should be for a beardie.

Hello,
OOHH MAN ,
I was really happy when my card turned very purple. 😈😖 It is actually a fooling of the people. Thank you for your great clarification!
Greetings from Germany Caterina 🖐️

If you know how to use an arduino you could use a uv sensor module which can differentiate between uva, uvb and uvc for about 30$

Watch this people!

I'm confused! 2:41 the solar meter's screen shows UVA and UVB. Does it measure UVA and UVB together?

I just want to test sunglasses with that, i guess it should be good. So it changes color when its exposed to ANY UVs ?
