Basically the problems with both kyoya and ryuga this season is the writers wanted to put them through some development they already achieved previously again. Ryuga having to overcome his lust for power even though he already did and kyoya having a lot of impatience regarding his match with gingka despite showing patience in previous seasons.
Kyoya owes an apology to both Nile and Demure. If it weren’t for those two, Kyoya would flat out not be a Legendary Blader let alone as strong as he is by Metal Fury or Metal Masters for that matter. It was Nile who was his right hand man and helped get as far as they did in the World Championships but Kyoya’s ego and desire to defeat Gingka got in the way. If it wasn’t for Nile, Kyoya let alone anyone else wouldn’t have made it to Mist Mountain and found Dynamis or Kyoya wouldn’t have got his rematch with Aguma and beat him. If it wasn’t for Demure, Kyoya wouldn’t have ever made it to the Valley of Storms to Master the Tornado and create his new special move King Lion Reverse Wind Strike. He owes those two EVERYTHING! He absolutely needs to give them an apology because what he did to the two of them in lashing out over nonsense is just purely ungrateful, cold-hearted, and just flat out mean behavior from Kyoya. What a disgrace indeed.
Yay, my only problem with Kyoya arc in fury was how rushed it was,
Like Kyoya naturally a really prideful character so they naturally be pissed off at the idea they can’t accomplish anything by themselves, it just feels like what happens isn’t provoking enough to push Kyoya over the edge like that,
Like if Kyoya was getting repeatedly trashed talked for needing someone to hold their hand the entire way, then that’s fine,
But because it only really happens once before, that it feels really out of character for Kyoya to freak out that much.
You make some banger points man! I love Metal Fury but over time I’ve definitely noticed the unfortunate lack of development for a lot of the characters, or even characters changing their motives
Upon rewatching s3 i noticed kyoyas inconsistent personality for each season
S1 - he really cared for his friends/allies but gave off a strong attitude yet still complimented them for their efforts and was expressive (like early sasuke) S2 - he was a lot more determined but at the cost of his caring attitude (he still cared but lot less showing). He seemed a lot colder S3 - tried to go back to his s1 personality but they botchered it
I think Konya's old allies were just like coworkers, but his grouping with Jinga in season 3 was a real friendship, that's why Kyoya got very angry with what Aguma said
One thing for which i sympathise with kyoya is he actually never got to defeat Gingka even once. While Ryuuga got to defeat him twice. (I wouldnt count the battle royale since it was like he waited for all the big shots to take each other down this is what led to his obsessive behavior throughout the series. this inferiority complex that no matter how strong he becomes he is still not strong enough. Not until he defeats gingka. this always clouded his judgement and his perspective on life i feel. He should've got at least one win against gingka. The world championship battle was the perfect moment. Kyoya had mastered his bey to the next level while gingka was still struggling with his new Bey. A win in that battle wouldve not only restored kyoyas confidence in himself and made him a more rational person, it wouldve also given a wakeup call to gingka on how much work is still there to be done.
Logically, kyoya shouldve won that fight. Gingka was completely pushed to the end and cornered.
Imo the Star fragments did its job for the seasonal bladers. The moment that there beys evolved their attitudes changed and made them feel like they can just do Anything, I’ll give examples for each season blader
Gingka: We all know that one of Gingka’s flaws is not fully Understanding Pegasus like he should throughout the entire show, it gets worse when cosmic Pegasus has a crazy evo so his possible destiny was just relying on mode changing without practice. But luckily Ryuga Slapped him into reality, and ever since that moment Gingka had succeeded in his role as a legendary blader by talking the time to practice instead of rushing onto the field with no experience
Ryuga: Gingka’s group telling Ryuga about nemesis made Ryuga just want to snatch everyone’s power for himself so he can just finish off nemesis for himself to claim himself the strongest. But sadly died in the process but still succeeding in his role as legendary blader by lending his power to Kenta to help defeat nemesis
Chris: His life story is having trust issues and relied on money to solve his problems, then Orion evolving led him to wanting even more money and traveling the world. Gingka helps him realize that you can’t dwell in the past and let greed be your life goal. Chris succeeds in his role as a legendary blader for realizing that their always going to be tragedy that you have to overcome
Kyoya: The Sudden Rudeness makes sense, he gained more power and was in a hurry to defeat every legendary blader. Aguma exposes his flaw of being a Loner with a play group which is true. Kyoya continues to deny that fact and just walks away wanting to leave his friends forever. Destiny does it’s job linking up with Yu and a legendary blader to make Kyoya realize that he’s adapted to having friends. Kyoya Succeeds in his role as a Legendary Blader by Realizing that no matter what you’ll always have friends in your corner
What I hate about this is after all that talk about being a survivalist of the wild, we find at the beginning of shogun steel that he’s in a suit and tie.🤦🏾
You should also make a video about Benkei. Among all the main characters, he is easily the one who took many steps back and who became only a very annoying joke.
He goes from training Kenta and being the muscle guy from the group to only being Kyoya stalker drama queen
I am a damian fan through and through but i loved this video. The kyoya battle against damian is still one of my favourites till this day. Love your videos keep making more like this.
One important detail to add, the battle between Kyoya and Ryuga is by far the best battle throughout the seasons (in my opinion). It captures Kyoya's pure determination to win no matter the odds. And i would even go as far as to say that once Ryuga became consumed by the dark power, automatically confirmed that Kyoya was the better blader during that moment. Because at that point during the battle, that was simply L-Drago battling and winning the match (not Ryuga)
Even though some people might not see it that way as they say someone can still be alone while being among people which seems fitting to what kyoya was a lonewolf.
