I inherited my MIL pearl necklace. FIL was in the Air Force stationed in Japan. He went to the Mikimoto farms and picked the pearls for her necklace

I just discovered you today and I’ve watched four or five of your videos. They are good and enjoyable. I do have a question though. Why do you insert seemingly unrelated pictures in every video?

I wish I’d known about your educational videos.  Thank you!  I have an old cameo that my Great Aunt’s cameo ring.  Would love a video about those too!

I have a very old necklace that came from Mexico in 1980s.
An old man sold it to a dealer friend of mine. The moment I walked in to her shop, I was drawn to it. The metal is very pale gold. It has ornate medallions joined end to end. They are set w small hand cleaved emeralds w tiny round pearls set between. It has matching drop medallion earring. No one can date it for me , but I feel it is at least 150+ years old. It was made for a tiny neck, so I had some 14k chain added. We kept the original clasp.

Because of you, I just checked the clasp on my in perfect condition, tightly knotted 18”, 8mm pearl necklace. It was engraved with “14kt (BL)”. I looked it up. They are Mikimoto’s Blue Lagoon Pearls. Happy just to know. Thank-you.

I got several in various necklaces sizes bought at sf China town wore them over 30 yrs

I have inherited my mother's Mikimoto pearl necklace but the strand is not connected. There is a silver Mikimoto clasp also in the jewelry case. There are also two 2.5" pearl strands in a small plastic bag. Please advise where I might take the necklace to have secured. Untied is approx 13". Once secured where may I get an estimate of its value?  Thank you for your assistance.

I have a gorgeous Black green Tahitian pearl bracelet set in 14k..never selling it!

A different question....my mother has a string necklace that is dark red. She had someone look at it to be restrung. The note with it says...."these are beautiful Amber".... I've never heard of Amber. They range in size. The center front is the largest, decreasing in size to the clasp. The are on a string. Can you advise please, what do I have. Thank you.   PS....she didn't have them restrung.

It’s pronounced mah-bay, not May-b
