Becky Hammon is a Classless Piece of Garbage & PROVED it with Her DISMISSIVENESS of Caitlin Clark!

Come ON, Now! The Podcast

10,455 views

Becky Hammon’s latest press conference moment has WNBA fans talking — and NOT for the right reasons. After being asked whether there were parallels between the Las Vegas Aces roster she inherited and the young Indiana Fever core built around Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, Hammon responded with a dismissive “NO,” then turned the exchange into an awkward, condescending back-and-forth while A’ja Wilson laughed beside her.

In this video, I break down the entire exchange, why the reporter’s question was completely fair, and why Hammon’s response came across as unnecessarily disrespectful. Nobody was claiming the Fever have accomplished what the Aces have accomplished. The question was about *potential, roster construction, and development* — and Hammon clearly understood that before eventually admitting Indiana has “great potential.”

So why the attitude? Why the laughing? Why the dismissiveness whenever Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever enter the conversation?

We’re breaking down the full clip, the context, and exactly why this moment rubbed so many people the wrong way.

I like Clark just like a lot of people do but let’s keep it a buck, this fever organization is a joke!!!! Got a coach who doesn’t know what she’s doing, got a front office that had access to a free agency that had 80% of the league on it and this is the team they created? Got a gm who was arguing with the fans as if they are on the opposing team lmao. They are a joke. Clark should leave whether it’s a trade demand or she buys out her contract. Her staying on this joke of a team is ruining her brand. Shes being viewed as a joke and if angel wins a wnba title before her that’ll damn near put a nail in the coffin bruh . It has been 3 seasons of drama with no hardware to show for it. I see a team full of overpaid people and a talent on a rookie deal that has to deal with a front office and coach that has made another player the primary option and another the hub while the player on the rookie deal is sitting in the corner hoping to get the ball back at some point. It’s trash bruh

Got a coach going through therapy and ish but people are supposed to take them seriously and have a serious take about them? It may be best for this team and Clark to separate….

I rather have the Becky Hammon problem of not complimenting the opposing team than the Stephanie White problem of not complimenting her own team

Her answer may not be polished but the question is do you see any parallels.

She said No.. that would be based on her personal experience and perception.

watching enough discussions on other channels her answer might be correct. The current Fever team is not one that will be together next year. Dallas is also a team that with back to back number 1s which actually played together. One can question if they were really number one picks or it was manipulated to look that way.

One could very much argue that while Vegas was built on picks, those players came in at a different time and were scouted differently.

Look how you acting now and Caitlin Clark never came out of her mouth just think if she would have said something bad about CC so damn if you do and damn if she don't like she said let's just move on

@seanwright6690 7 hours ago

If CC STILL BELIEVES THIS LEAGUE WILL EVER ACCEPT HER SHE IS IN SUCH DENIAL

@williammoore5182 12 hours ago

You don't see clark downgrading others because she is well mannered.

@larryr.burgess3318 7 hours ago

This basketBRAWL league is such a joke!!! Has there ever been such a ridiculous effort in the history of sports to do what these participants have attempted to do to Caitlin Clark 🤷‍♀️

@jeromefields9638 8 hours ago

@michellelanier6997 6 hours ago

You are so SALTY😂😂😂😂😂

@MichaelMincey-k6h 6 hours ago

Why Do You Think Everybody Got To Like Caitlin Clark?

@Noble757-by9rg 8 hours ago

What exactly do you want her to say? Just cause yall think cc a great player doesnt mean everyone has to glaze her. People see basketball differently. Anyone that doesnt glaze cc doesnt need a video made about them and what does it have to do with class? Sounds like a loud whistle to me

Who's accomplished more? Wilson, Gray, and Young by a mile.
Who would I trust in a playoff series until proven otherwise? Wilson, Gray, and Young. Becky Hammon was correct to say what she said! #FACTS: Becky Hammon 3 #1 picks were Plum, Wilson, and Young. Her point was that Plum, Wilson, and Young were all No. 1 picks and had already played together for years before she arrived. And as A'ja jokingly reminded reporters, Kelsey Mitchell was the No. 2 pick in 2018, not a No. 1 pick. 🤣
