The French singer analyzes Dimash's performance of "Vocalise" for the first time and compares it to Lara Fabian's original version.
He knows the song well and admits to having listened to the original many times. Therefore, he's especially interested to see what Dimash will do with it.

In 2010 Lara Fabian sang a dramatic vocalise (Ascolta la Voce) composed by Igor Krutoy. Lara is the original singer of the vocalise Ascolta La Voce.
In 2019 Krutoy wrote Know (Знай) for Dimash by taking parts of the original melody of the vocalise and transforming it into a full, lyrical pop-opera. Russian poet and lyricist Mikhail Gutseriev wrote the lyrics (which didn’t exist in the original composition).
Know (Знай) is basically about eternal love and the spiritual heights of human relationships. Dimash is the original singer of Know (Знай).
Both songs were composed by Krutoy using similar melodic phrasing, but they are two completely different songs written for two different voices.
Dimash also performs a beautiful vocalise of Know (Знай). Whether live or the music video, it is well worth watching.
