Hi Alex and the team, this is Ed from PSSound. I don't expect you to see this comment, but if you do, thank you for mentioning us. And if you ever want to do a follow-up video sorting out the remaining problems, I'm willing to give you a few tips and tricks to make your life easier when it comes to fabricating and finishing your A pillars. Best of luck

25:12 Priorities are clear. Thousands of dollars for audio upgrades. Zero dollars to fix the eye level broken windshield. :D

I'm an Installer for a living. You never solder speaker wires onto the terminals always use the proper connector. The heat required to heat up the terminal can travel along the tinsel leads and damage the voice coil. Think about this if the tinsel lead is soldered to the other end on the terminal you are heating up the terminal enough to melt the solder on both ends.

The audio in my car is completely dead. Sometimes I think about actually troubleshooting it and doing a massive upgrade, then I watch a video like this and stick a tube speaker in the cupholder.

You said “making custom A pillars” and a hell of a lot of people sat up, including me, cause that’s cool shit. No one does that anymore!!!

As a car audiophile myself, its so amazing to see you approach car audio in what I consider the right way. And you are doing it yourself, instead of paying a shop like me, so huge props to you just for that.

Also, the fact that you mention Pssound speaks volumes. He is considered one of the best in the car audio world scene. And you can learn a lot from him when it comes to speaker placement, tuning, everything in general.

Good episode, glad the channel is doing well! One thing I noticed, there's a lot less explanation of what you are doing and why it matters in this episode. Maybe just because of the stress of having a broken speaker, but it's stronger content when you explain what's going on more! Keep up the good work, looking forward to part 2!

Could even see spider damage while you were soldering. Should contact focal see if they will send you a recone kit. Even if they wont you could disassemble the speakers and measure the parts to see if you can piece together a recone yourself or get the parts from a different manufacturer. Reconing a speaker is relatively easy.

I'm so glad that Breathing Underwater is also a song you choose to test sound systems with. It's so dang good!

A) great result, but make sure your airbag won't turn those into high speed face missiles!!

B) you should invest in a low cost laser scanner. Makes all the difference when doing stuff like this!
