Rixon is great to work with, he has helped me through the years to really fine tune my desired chambering results. Cheers buddy, keep up the good work. - Ern

Thanks for making the vid....I will be watching as many as you put out

Excellent info for a barrel maker. Thanks!

Please keep talking. Love this video

Veey interesting, thank you.

Awesome thank you for sharing great content

Rixon is the best in the game!

I send a dummy round that I want to use to my reamer maker then go over the dimensions I want based on the goals I want to achieve for shooting purpose .

Well explained. I was waiting to hear your opinion on case trimming with respect to chamber length. I heard 10 to 15 thou. Thank you.

Hi, would love to see a video covering bushings, and how to decide which one you want.

I want more. Ive made specked two reamers so far and ive been doing it based on resized cases as making my own resize dies are kind of a budget killer. So far ive kind of went backwards. Ill buy the resize die then the brass i want to use. Run some cases through the resize or coverting process for wildcat then measure and compare to simliar cases that have worked good for me. But im still guessing and would like more data on dimension like shoulder diameter of case vs chamber maybe how to get more accurate measurements. Ive noticed alot better case life if the resize die matches the chamber. Thanks your ocd brass is awesome especially since lapua can be spotty with availability, i know their aint a huge market but good vartarg brass is hard to find, with a hard brass case head.

What do you like to use for freebore diameter?

Is there a particular brand or type of resizing die that you recommend? Specifically for a PRS shooter who is using your brass and reamers in 6.5 Creedmoor and 6 Dasher.

Does enjoying this presentation make me a total geek?  I understood most of the geometry but having it explained all together really cemented it for me. Hornady’s “head height” design factor within the limitation of magazine length for example.

This was extremely informative for a new reloader like me. The only part of this that leaves me scratching my head is the advice on keeping the bullet ahead of the neck/shoulder junction at about 8:17.  There is no way to do this on a 6mm GT round using a Berger 109gr LRHT bullet. The bearing surface of the bullet would not engage the neck enough because the base of the bullet is so long. Assuming there are exceptions, like everything else in life.

What would be the finest grit you would use in polishing a chamber?

Are your reamers not piloted?
