“A few small beers.”

My favorite line delivery of 2025. Benicio killed it.

Fun Fact: the HQ of the Christmas Adventures Club was Ronald Reagan’s old Governors Mansion in Sacramento.

Bob is like the Dude from The Big Lebowski if he was into anarchy and revolution instead of bowling.

You both should watch Magnolia by the same director; it’s a great movie

If you are in on PTA - Punch Drunk Love is a must movie to see

That statement by Lockjaw to the Christmas guys is pure General Ripper.

Probably won’t be remembered as one of DiCaprio’s greatest performances as he understandably cedes a lot of the spotlight, but he’s so funny. The transition from politely asking about the proper pronouns for Willa’s nb friend to immediately going “who is this fucking freak?” when the other kid walked up killed me. Life!

“One Battle After Another” IS a Western.

George called it right off the rip that it’s Lockjaw’s kid. Took me a little longer but when he was looking for her, I knew it could be.

The asphalt „ocean waves“ in IMAX were beyond amazing.

I appreciate that you guys got the comedic element in this movie. A lot of reactors miss that and take it too seriously.  Of course, the subject matter is serious but it's a perfect mix of serious and comedic.

Filmed on vintage VistaVision film & cameras. That's why it looks & feels the way it does.

Leo is so good at looking panicked and scared 😂

Lockjaw didn't know the hitman, so he didn't know the hit was ordered by the Club.

13:51 that comb thing he did is real. Idk if Sean got it from this in particular but you can see Paul Wolfowitz do this in the opening credits to Fahrenheit 9/11.

Not Vancouver.  Sacramento, California. They shot a bit of this movie where I live. That office building you mentioned is in downtown Sacramento.

Sean Penn is crazy good as Lockjaw. One of my favorite villain performances I've seen in a while

The SNL toy commercial inspired by this movie is unbelievably funny.

59:00 and that’s why he walked back into the trap instead of realizing who tried to kill him & went back for revenge.

If you like Paul Thomas Anderson and you haven't seen Magnolia. I believe you would also enjoy. Great cast and his usual great writing.
