Toy Story 3 really should have been the finale, but I guess Pixar wanted to keep entertaining children and young adults. Josh Beaty is good at explaining theories.

Atp all the unused plots were too dark for disney💔

Wait so you're telling me that the toy Story 3 ending prank was actually considered to be a real ending to the movie? If so that is- I'm glad that they changed it.

Wow the fact that the original one at circle 7 was a toy story 2 modification would have made me completely depressing...

I keep commenting this everywhere, the plot in this version of TS3 would make a perfect plot for Toy Story 6 cuz recalled toys haven't been mentioned, we got rivalry, being replaced, growing up, being lost toys vs tech, but why not recalled toys?

Talking about the movie ending on the incinerator scene, I think Disney has some history of ending movies on a dark note before changing their mind. Someone told me that A Goofy Movie was supposed to cut to the credits after Goofy accidentally explodes during the reunion between Max & Roxanne, which would have been a really weird and creepy ending for the kids. Instead they showed Goofy flying through Roxanne's roof and Max introducing his father to his girlfriend, which works much better.

Ngl Toy Story 3 felt a lot like a kids version of Shawhank Redemption

8:48 Honestly, seeing this early version of Lotso made me think of a "Corrupted Care Bear", where he once helped spread joy and happiness, but when he felt like he was "replaced" he was filled with hate, grief, and revenge, and became corrupted too. 🙃🙃

Hope you can do the original plot for Chicken Little (2005) was different soon Josh.

Not me accidentally stealing a plot from them cause MY new upcoming toy story will mostly be in Smyth's toys🤣👏🏼

quite honestly for me, buzz dying or my beloved characters from various shows being killed, mauled, gored, or hurt in the most horrific way possible I have been a quite bit desensitized to due to all the horrific fanart, games, and fan flims of them plus now that im older watching my favorite heroes sacrifice themselves, Iron man, Spider-man,Bing bong or dying at the end of the movie it feels more natural and real, death and loss is real. its not censored, makes it feel like there is something very big at stake or risk. overall im prettu ok with it and want this to be a movie

I need the original plot of finding nemo

How is quite literally every original plot "too dark for disney", like there has to be other reasons why the plot changed

I really hope you can do the original plot for Madagascar (2005 flim from Dreamworks) was different soon as well Josh

I’d love to hear about the first draft of Toy Story with joss weadon and Sarah Conner Barbie

Can you look into what the original ideas for Wreck-It-Ralph were?

A lot of these concepts like the "who dun' it" one would've worked well for shorts.

If this was the Toy Story 3 that came out, instead of the 2010 one that got released then all of you would shut up about it being what should've been the "last movie" because y'all wouldn't get your so called "happy ending". Now I wish it did. 😂

Toy Story 3 used to make me cry and to this day I'm still crying from this movie❤😭

13:53 wish they kept this mindset when making toy story 5
