Inga Maria Hauser went missing after arriving in Larne on a ferry from Scotland in April 1988.

The 18-year-old's body was found two weeks later in a remote part of Ballypatrick Forest, near Ballycastle in County Antrim.
No one has been convicted of her killing.

Solicitor Claire McKeegan of Phoenix Law, which acts for Inga Maria Hauser's sister Friederike Leibl, said Mrs Hauser died "without receiving justice or answers regarding the murder of this beautiful girl".

It is exactly 34 years to the day and date that Inga-Maria's life was cruelly taken. So sad and tragic.

Sounds to me he was an opportunist who was watching her on that ferry, liked what he saw and put his sick plan into action. THIS WAS NOT HIS FIRST TIME. All around tragic not only for her family but for the beautiful people of Northern Ireland 💔 Whomever has held back information, should be held accountable for their part.

This documentary is beautifully done and so heartbreaking. I hope Inga's family and friends find the answers they deserve. The community also needs to realize this killer is probably among them. Protecting him/them is dangerous to everybody.

I was 12 years old when this happened, even with all the mayhem and murder taking place in northern Ireland at the time this murder shocked people here badly, the Idea that someone is protecting the animal who did this hard to comprehend, but the people of northern Ireland won't forget Inga

They have a DNA profile. They can probably find out who this monster is with familial DNA.

Her singing at the end is so haunting and beautiful. Thankyou for giving this case the exposure it needs, Inga's story has stuck with me ever since I saw it on Crimewatch <3

My wife and I visited the scene where Inga was so brutally murdered in Ballypatrick Forest. I’ve been there a few times to renew flowers, and it’s always eerie. You just know something terrible has happened. Gods blessings to that poor girl & her family.

I have two adult sons in their early 30s, both of whom I adore and admire but, if I knew that either one was involved in murdering a young woman the burden of that guilt is something I could not live with. There's loyalty and there's complicity. People are not doing their sons, brothers, relatives etc., any favours by covering up a heinous crime like this because it not only sends the wrong message but surely impacts their ability to have any semblance of normalcy in the future, it will surely ruin your life too. I will add that I also have a 24-year-old daughter and just thinking about her being treated this way and unceremoniously disposed of is heartbreaking. Hearing Inga's haunting voice at the end made me break down into tears.
Thank you for the upload. I have subscribed. Cheers from Oz! 🦘

Poor child murdered far from home in a dark and lonely place.

All murders are extremely sad but a murder that happens when you are travelling in a strange land amongst strangers is the worst. One can only hope that the people responsible for this young lady's life have somehow had a dreadful existence ever since. I hope Inga has peace in her death. Just tragic.

i saw this and it was devastating. Someone who was protected by their community did this

Parabon NanoLabs has been using familial DNA here in the US and had solved over 200 cases that had gone cold for decades

What is disturbing to me, is that this is not the first case that I have watched where that same policeman/detektiv have tryed to explain away why they did such a bad job!....that is quite telling!!

The singing by her at the end was very haunting. Sounds like she is singing from her grave

Wow. As a German, I have not heard anything about this case before. I was looking for Ireland travel videos because I will be flying to Ireland next Tuesday. I love backpacking and have visited many countries and definitely some more dangerous countries than Ireland. I would never classify Ireland as dangerous. I will be traveling around Ireland (North and South) by train and bus. I think I will often think of Inga and set up a few stones for her in some places, because she could never see the places I travel to, she was simply deprived of this opportunity. A tragic case. Thanks for uploading. God bless you 🙏❤️
