After reaching Manakara from Irondro by the RN12, there are approximately one hundred kilometers left to connect Farafangana by motorbike. We ride in a moderate and persistent rain, the asphalt deteriorates a little each year but it is still OK. Sometimes monotonous ribbon crossing towns and villages, like Vohipeno.

👉 Farafangana is a small town in the South-East of Madagascar. Located on the edge of the Indian Ocean, at the mouth of the Manampatrana River and at the southern outlet of the Pangalanes Canal, it is also the capital of the Antefasy (or Antaifasy) ethnic group which means “those who live in the sands” .
