18:14 "Nothing bad happens" I wish I knew this as a kid playing this game. When Tortimer gave me the task to turn on the lighthouse every night, I forgot to turn it on one of the nights. The next day, Gulliver coincidentally washed up on shore, which at this point was my first time meeting him. I thought because I didn't turn on the lighthouse, I caused his ship to crash. I felt so guilty, I stopped playing the game after that.

My Mom and I used to play this all the time. After school I remember her telling me all the crazy things she encountered in the game while I was away. Some of my favorite memories growing up... 🥲

One of the people working on decompiling this game here! Here's the concrete info about a few discussed topics.

Weather - there are five weather types and each one has 3 levels of intensity (except for clear weather). The five types are clear, rain, snow, cherry blossoms, and falling leaves (only seen in K.K. concerts).

Rainbows - rainbows will occur the same calendar day which it transitions from rain to clear weather. The rainbow is only visible from 9AM until 3PM and will fade out completely by 3:30PM. Rainbows only appear in the summer season. And for 3 layer towns, both waterfalls will show a rainbow!

Three layer towns - they are programmed into the game intentionally and can select one of a handful unique layouts unlike two layer towns which are generated entirely unique. It's a 1/15 chance to get a three layered town if I recall correctly.

Walk on tables duplication glitch - the second item dropped must be a music player. This is because the game actually stores the active music track for the room invisibly above the music player (kind of like its a table). When you take the item off of the music player, the game won't delete it because its not a valid music item thus leading to duplication.

Bowsersenemy - they deleted their entire archive of videos due to an unfortunate fear that the government would come after them for making hacking related content. We worked together back in 2017 for a brief period before they disappeared again.

Timmy & Tommy voice pitch - Their voices are controlled through invisible commands in the text itself and the devs very likely could've messed up the order of commands leading to the glitch you experienced.

Jeff is the animal crossing God, and we need to respect him as one.
If not for him we'd be years behind in animal crossing content.

Tortimer's name is pronounced the same way as Mortimer, not "Tore Timer". It's a cross between the name Mortimer and the animal Tortoise.

For the type pitch change after speaking to a sad villager, I had that happen so consistently I thought it was a feature.

12:37 Yo Brutus mention, what a classic

I hate how ACNH failed to live up to any of the previous entires and I always hope that Nintendo will do a re release on the switch

apparently animal forest had larger acres during development and some are left over in the files, TCRF mentions it but I’ve never found a video/photo of it 😕

3-tiered towns are definitely an intended mechanic. otherwise, they would not have programmed houses on the lowest tiers to be orange on the map

This game is so wild man. Actually insane the base game was on n64

I started my Animal Crossing journey with the Gamecube version back when it came out new in Europe. Back then I was a kid in primary/elementary school. Two decades later, I am still playing it to this day, as Animal Crossing: Population Growing! will always have a special place in my heart!

Glad to see how I'm not the only one that feels AC on GameCube had this eerie and mysterious atmosphere. Now why question is: why is it?

I literally said "wow!" to some of these out loud because I'm shocked I didn't notice. For example, the grass/snow patterns, and the waterfall rainbow. This game has also been my favorite of all time and it very much helped me through a major depression when I was young. I could owe it my life tbh. Thank you for making content about it because it's important that people know about this game. It's truly remarkable.

Wow, so many of my interests crossing into one vid. Lost media + animal crossing + video game easter eggs. Would love more Animal Crossing content from you in the future, LSSQ!!! Great vid!

Today, I learned you can go in the lighthouse. I played this game for YEARS with my brothers. And it STILL has stuff I havent seen. This game is so deep

14:35 Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but there IS a weird Timmy and Tommy voice thing that happens during sales at Nookingtons.

Basically, during a sale, when you go up to the 2nd floor of Nookingtons, Timmy and Tommy's second dialogue box is way louder than normal,
as far as I can tell, it's because normally one of them speaks slightly behind the other, but during this one instance, they both speak at the exact same time.

1:39 I am so glad that I didn’t have to wait four years for this video and then I could just binge them back to back because it is so much fun and I hope that you guys make tons more of these in the future for all of the animal crossing games tbh.

Brutus deleted my family and friends. 😭

Has anyone tried using a model swap to play as an animal? I’ve never seen it.
