The condition of that cemetery is so heart breaking.    Be careful walking through all that overgrowth.

That’s incredible. Something needs definitely to be done to preserve the memory of those buried here. Thanks Lamont for bringing awareness about this matter.

R.I.P John Barrymore. Hope the cemetery gets restored soon

Sadly, I think I read somewhere that Drew is highly estranged from her family. Hopefully, she sees this video and is moved to help clean it up and find her ancestors' final resting place

I live right near/above Philly. It's nice to know you are nearby remembering someone special that I didn't even know  was buried in this area. I really appreciate that you are making people aware of these forgotten resting places and people. It is really honorable. I will have to keep an eye out on what is going on with this cemetery. Usually we are very good about maintaining our history in this area. Most people know Drew Barrymore his granddaughter. I never realized Drew Barrymore was named after two famous acting families. I will have to come pay my respects to them. If you are still in the area the summer home of William Penn is having it's second night of Holly night tonight. My husband is Father Christmas or Father Noel there. It is an amazing living history sort of museum and working farm. There also is a lot of local Native American leni la nape customs still held in this area also. William Penn didn't drive out the Natives. There are a lot of cool still active Quaker netting houses that our centuries old including their cemeteries. If you like a little bit later history there is a massive amount of Revolutionary war history around here too.

Looks like your in the jungle

How can a cemetery get neglected like this. It reminds me of one ive seen in new Orleans areas

Mount Moriah in Philly was in the same shape. A hardworking group of volunteers is slowly bringing it back little by little and their efforts are making the cemetery beautiful again. I hope this cemetery can be restored, those buried there deserve better. ❤

In Barrymore's time, if you were slightly naughty, if you had a boatload of charisma and if you had reached the pinnacle of success as he had, the world was your oyster.  It's pretty ironic that he went from owning the world to the world owning him.

John's brother Lionel was the actor I loved the most.  Lionel Barrymore was Old man Potter in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE & the grandpa in my favorite old fantasy movie ON BORROWED TIME where he tricks death up a tree to protect his grandson from a greedy aunt trying to rob his inheritance. I hope someone in that community goes in with an organized group of kind souls to clean that place up!  They'll need a tree chipper to reduce the mess to sawdust..

WOW  !  I thought you guys were walking through a jungle at the beginning of the video.  😳  I can't imagine the man hours it would take to cut those thick vines and how many goats it would take to clear out the shrubbery and overgrowth.   Very interesting video.   It's sad to see how overgrown this cemetery is.

So sad to see the overgrowth at the cemetery.  Thank you for taking us with you!!

How sad that Drew Barrymore's grandfather has been lost like this!  I'm glad that plans are being made to clean the place up.  Keep up the good work, Lamont.

RIP John Barrymore and so many other souls. 💜 🙏🏽

Those are some of the most unique monuments I’ve seen. That’s disturbing that the City would let it go like that it definitely needs to be taken care of. Makes you wonder if this is how companies build on top of graves because it seems no one care. Thanks for sharing this one Lamont

Just sad and disrespectful.  With all our prison systems, our government could send out non violent criminals to start cleaning up this cemetery.

So sad they let it go so long . Hope it gets restored soon♥️

This is a job for an army of YouTube landscapers. This would be the ultimate landscaping transformation before and after match-ups videos.😉

Goats could be fed for a long time inside this cemetery. It is beautiful in a haunting kind of way. So sad that the families obviously are long gone and can’t see what has happened here. Well done Lamont. The edits to the video were really good.
