60 years old, still doing body work, welding, 1/4 mile engines, roll cages and 40 hours a week driving city transit bus. Hurt every day. Walking the dog! Just walk, walk, walk. Also some exercises using body weight like planks and dead hanging. Most important, wake up each morning and list 5 things I'm grateful for and loving life.

My suggestion for future videos: get people who have never painted and teach them. Emphasise where they went wrong and why, then how to fix it.

Biggest thing that helped me with aches and other health issues was reducing inflammation by minimizing processed foods.

A PDF cheatsheet or quick reference guide for common stuff would be nice—like which sanding grits to use for different surfaces, order of operations, basic setups (compressors, guns), bodywork basics, etc.

Muscle tightness and tenseness at 37 is in full force lol. I’m constantly stretching throughout the day or at morning/nighttime. Does everyone else just walk around feeling like 💩?!?!

i'm 50, and honestly, i have aches and pains at all times, except when i'm working on my cars. i'm really just getting into body and paint this year as a hobby with my 22yo son, rebuilding his 325i. i've been watching your videos for about the last 5 years and I've been slowly piecing together my air system, compressor, hoses, spray guns, sand blaster, etc. It's so cool to be at a point where i am putting things into practice that i've learned on this channel. i feel pretty confident going into each new stage because i remember not to overthink it, because it's just paint!

Motor trade broke me at 45 for the last time. Pysio was shocked at my core strength. Been leaning in engine bays and under dashes for 30 years. But i did learn that legs and butt strength was crucial for back support. You got to stretch to unlock.
You dont just give tips and tricks. You build passion and give confidence. I appreciate that

Hi Brian.
I’m 56 years old and I live in Hungary. I operate biggest computer systems, and automotive painting is really just a part of restoring my classic Alfa Romeo. For me, that’s exactly what keeps me moving — it’s what gets my muscles working again after sitting in a chair for 10–12 hours a day.
Believe me, even if you feel tired and stiff by the evening, you’re still better off this way.

Here in Europe, we don’t really use sealer the way you do. Instead, we use a high-build filler primer (e.g. PPG DP5000) that serves a similar purpose — hiding scratches and creating a proper color for base surface. After spraying, we let it fully cure, then sand it with P1000-1500 wet sanding (or sometimes dry P800 with RO sander) before applying the base coat.

I’ve read a lot of the suggestions which all sound good and help me as well. One thing I’ve also noticed that helps me is sitting in a hot tub for about 20 minutes. It tends to really loosen up your muscles.

43yrs old, I've been in mechanics, tire buster, and body repair with painting and paint correction. Aside from acupuncture I am a firm believer in meditation relaxation. And thank you for your episodes on your respiratory system it saved my life and ability to continue painting.

Im 51 chiropractor works wonders. I wasn't athlete my entire adolescent years, then I raced motocross , I have a lot of injuries , but my chiropractor keeps me going strong.

44 years old as a heavy diesel equipment mechanic. Stretching has done more for me than anything else. My chest was always tight but felt like my shoulder blades needed to pop. I began to stretch my chest and it took care of the pain I had. I’ve found that keeping it simple does more than drugs etc. stretching only takes 5-10 minutes but has fixed a lot of my aches and pains.

Brian, you are an inspiration. I’m just back into Smart repairs after some time off. My work is small compared to what you do but your open teaching approach shows that this isn’t rocket science. You just have to be clean and methodical.

I've been eurthing since I was 55 and now 69 I feel better than I was at 54 because of eurthing/ grounding. I have a copper material soft sheet on my bed and it's connected via alergator clip to a wire leading outside to a 1mt copper grounding rod . It changed my life. I actually look like I'm in my 50's and have no stiffness or pain in my joints.
