Maybe this video explains why insurance is so outrageous

Rule #1 when driving a boat.

NEVER approach any object (boat, dock, trailer, etc.) faster than you are willing to hit it.

And these are only the idiots being recorded. Just imagine how many there really are

You wonder why so many people get killed in boating accidents, being stupid doesn't help

People laugh at these mishaps, but everyone who has an insured boat ends up paying larger premiums every year for these idiots.

Having done a fair bit of boating myself, in my younger years, I know how dangerous the sea is. Some of these people are completely incompetent.
It’s something you need to take your time with, to learn how to do it properly. It’s no joke. You’re a whisker away from death, in any situation.
They buy these boats for the good life, but they don’t know what they’re doing.

Half of this isn’t even bad luck—it’s just people being way too confident for their skill level. Which clip made you go ‘yeah… that was 100% avoidable’?

It hurts to watch. Thanks for posting.

Do people not know that the back of the boat has an engine that spins a propeller that will slice you like a piece of sushi?

@otakubancho6655 8 months ago

I think they're all more than a little dinghy!😂😂😂

Wow! Some pretty bad ones that anyone with minimal experience and brains could have avoided. Hard seeing the innocent boats being hit.

All Money and No Common Sense to Operate a Boat

This is so funny, I remember when I got my first 40' boat years ago, I was so scared ( I acted confident though) I did not damage any other boats but I did hire a captain after that. I have since upgraded to a 40m and I would not even think of trying to captain that thing.
