This is my friends’, Miranda and Tyler’s, bedroom. They just finished renovating their entire house, but thanks to a little decision fatigue, the colour palette ended up being a mix of white, grey, and black… meaning they’ve officially fallen victim to the "millennial grey home." The funny thing is, their mood board is the complete OPPOSITE: colourful, eclectic, playful, and full of personality. So watch as I transform this grey bedroom into a warm, character-filled retreat using budget-friendly thrifted finds and DIY projects, including a stunning wall-to-wall fabric headboard. I actually love when you guys set your selves a challenge with a firm parameter like keeping the blue wall colour. I think it makes all the other design choices really interesting and intentional. Plus very realistic for a lot of people who have to time swap out furniture but not paint and entire room!

I agree with all comments about rug and wall color. I think the rug should have been a color that brings contrast to gray like sage or moss green and burnt orange for wall maybe…

I think my eyes are broken Becky! The lower painted part of the wall looks seafoam green to me, not blue/ grey... I really wasn't sure of all of the colors that you decided on but you did a Fantastic job and this room looks Incredible! Every color somehow ties together and works beautifully in this bedroom. Well Done Becky, you never cease to amaze me 💯😍😍😍

HUGE becky stan and literally have a playlist of her makeovers as my go to comfort watches but ... the headboard in this is going to live rent free in my brain. Either take the original one off entirely, or don't have a new one, but having the first one, then a new bigger one behind which doesn't go the whole length of the wall, then a bit of wall peeking out is just making me😬😬😬

(But obsessed with the reading chair, the lights, the mirror, that incredible mushroom print with the painted red matte which I'm defo going to copy... <3)

A good tip I saw for curtains (especially on large windows) use 4 panels instead of 2. It looks more luxurious and finished!

Curtains are a little short. Put them on rings to lower them. The wooden ring idea was spot on!

Just an FYI that Becky almost certain has a form of blue-yellow color blindness
called Tritanomaly, a condition where blue receptors are present but have reduced sensitivity, making blues look darker or washed out and leading to confusion between shades of blue and grey, in particular and judgement of depth of colour. It can make mid greens look more blue etc.
