Hey, welcome back to another video on the channel. Today we're taking a look at this NEW Lenovo ThinkPad X13s Gen 1 I bought for £145. Did I get scammed, or this this a deal of a life time.. well stick around to find out.

The ThinkPad X13s are a line of ultraportable class notebooks with Snapdragon CPU's. They were the first of it's kind but stopped being sold a few years ago. Let's investigate the world of ARM Based laptops and see if this one is worthy.

Thanks for all the support, if you enjoyed or found it informative in any way then be sure to like, subscribe and share. Let's get to 10K Subscribers before the end of the year.. we can do it. Thanks for watching.

Crazy price for that laptop. A true toss around laptop if you just need it for web browsing and light productivity

Love my x13s. I got mine broken off ebay. I sent it to lenovo and got it fixed for free.

I'm not the only person who has used ram as a knife.

Good video, however I would suggest to consider the market price when rating the laptop. If you get something worth 400 for the price of 175 every other rating than „for the price I can’t complain“ would be very surprising… so not really helpful for other people.

8cx Gen 3 is basically Windows ARM version of Snapdragon 888/888+ Android mobile chipset, and the latter still has decent performance despite its overheating concern.

9:01 i just bought an lenovo thinkpad l14 with only 10 charging cycles. i faced the same issues: speakers that dosnt have a goood sound, but then i insalled the original OS from lenovo and it installed Dolby audio, and after enabling it, the speakers sounds 200% better.

The case on these things is made from recycled magnesium. I think this is a good deal. There are ARM versions of both Windows 11 and Linux distros. Office is also distributed in ARM versions as well.

used thinkpads / older model thinkpads in general tend to be the best way to score a reliable, well performing laptop for a low price. they tend to last decades, so if you get a 2-5 year old thinkpad it will likely last a long time and remain usable for a long time.

Love my Thinkpad x13s. I wrote a long-term review blogpost about it as a development machine back in 2023. Absolutely fantastic machine, though I do have the 32GB model. I occasionally swap my SSD out for another one that has an Ubuntu build on it, but Windows definitely is a more complete ARM experience (especially with sleep).

Seems like a great find! Good fortune fell upon thee :) The keyboard alone is to die for. They are a joy to write on. If nothing else, the perfect machine for punching out your novel in the woods :)

In my country they range from $970 to the exorbitant $2000 dollars.🤑

That is a really low price for that... however I do have a X13 Gen 2 I bought on ebay open box (was actually new ..zero cycles and under warranty) a couple years ago... Ryzen 5 (5650U / 8GB (blah) / 256 and 1920x1200 display) that I bought for about $350 USD... for what I needed it for it has been great... would have rather had 16+GB memory but the costs would have been much higher even for a used X13 with 16+GB ram..

I got this from a lost luggage seller. It's a really good toss laptop when you need something with windows in a hurry, lasts forever off battery. Only complaint is the lack of beans this CPU has for a few things and some programs don't play well with windows ARM like discord.

Lucky. It's £1,766 on Amazon UK now.

You'll probably want to reinstall windows again as the newer version have native arm support instead of the old versions which use a translation layer
