I love how they highlighted the stark difference in tone between the break up and the rain fight. One is played for humor, with bright warm colors in public with extras in the background and a jaunty song and empowering high-five at the end. The other is played straight somber, with cold sad colors, dreary rain, a mellow, sad soundtrack, watery eyes and ends with a character leaving to bike home alone in the pouring rain.

It’s so clear to see which fight we’re meant to treat with the most emotional weight and importance, especially consider its only after one of those fights that Mike immediately runs after to apologize.
