The Guild of Irish Lacemakers were delighted to have Fiona Harrington as a speaker at our 20245AGM.
Fiona is a visual artist and lacemaker. Her work explores themes relating to domesticity, traditional women’s work, memory and loss, where she clearly positions it within the context of contemporary art and design. Fiona will be taking us through her journey into lace and her current projects. She has had an exciting year researching Inismacsaint Lace and also being part of the first lacemaking duo to participate in the Homo Faber Fellowship programme.
