Damn. An 18 year old Eliud Kipchoge outkicking 2 of the greatest of all time, before becoming one himself. What an awesome race.

This was Eluid Kipchoge's first ever biig win on a world stage. 15 years later, tomorrow, he is going to shatter the world record in marathon at Berlin. Officially, the king of marathon!

And Eliud Kipchoge is still racing 20 years later. Now, he's the greatest marathoner of all time. What a career he's had

This is the race I love to watch. You never get to know who wins it until the last second, no matter who you are cheering for you will have your a heart attack until they finish it.

The foundation of Kipchoge is deep and disciplined. The man has grown from strength to strength for nearly two decades. Well done Kip, you make Kenya proud. For the race, it was an African affair

One year later and Hicham El Guerrouj beats both Kipchoge and Bekele at the same distance in the Athens Olympics 👊🏼🏃🏽

Who could have imagined back then that Kipchoge would be the GOAT in the marathon 15 years later.

Dang, E.G.’s got class. Always the first to congratulate his opponents. Wonderful example in victory and defeat.

They ran a 1:52 last 800. Kipchope at 18 sensational and no wonder he would become the greatest marathoner of all time.
