Broderick Crawford had about the best commanding voice I ever heard. And he was a big star in the late 40s and 50s.

I love the last piece of advise, "Leave your blood at the Red Cross, not on the highway"! Regards

Watching Mr. Mathews & the Patrolman "corner" the bad guy at the end was a riot !   If the Patrolman was gonna "draw his fire" while Mathews snuck up on him at the front of the car -- from all of about 3 feet ! -- they were both lucky they didn't get nailed !   Another arrest by the legendary HIGHWAY PATROL  ... wow !    But looking back, this was one of the most watched shows of the late '50s, and deservedly so !

Crawford is a comic genius!

"My mother would be sick too, locked in a coin locker."

Ed Nash, who was played by Edmund Cobb Jr., was the grandson of Edmund Ross, the Governor of the territory of New Mexico and the Senator of Kansas. He died in 1974 at the age of 82.

What a fine series this was.Thank you for Highway Patrol.

Superb shows.  Our parents and Grandparents were lucky to have lots of shows like this

Damn this looks like it was filmed with an 8mm home movie camera.

I grew up watching these oldies after school then, yup, it was black & white but nobody was complaining !

Man, that one bad guy sure saw that cop's gun from a LONG way off, given the speed he was moving. Great eyes...
