22:38  Extra tip for ammo trucks is, if they are unmanned they will not be a direct target

The funny thing about having FOW off is that it still applies to the units, just not the player. Both enemy and player units are unable to “notice” units beyond their usual LOS even if the units are within range of each other.

So units with better LOS still have a role ironically enough

The only really OP enemy is autocannons. Every AI-controlled autocannon in this game is basically a CIWS. Also endless ammo on enemy side. And if you get an autocannon vehicle that can tow and attach an ammo trailer to it you get basically the same endless terminator firepower. Yes it's a bomb on wheels that way, but the autocannon just lasers anything that gets close so it survives long.

Never in my 300 hours in goh have I ever even considered researching the fuel truck but that might have to change...

Lots of great tips. I’ve played 5 conquests already and I still learned a lot.

For Fog of war, Ive noticed some regular vehicles/tanks have Commander view with increased range, while also providing full fire support. Worth looking for

since this new update to conquest the ai engineers are working overtime trying to blow up your hedgehogs and wire

I appreciate the tips, particularly on the fogs of war side. Been playing MoWAS2 without caring about fogs of war for years but this time in GoH I'm adapting to using it.
The part about high-caliber guns ammo and engineer trucks being too expensive to resupply on lobby is baffling tbh, so I guess doing a unit clean-house after mission completion is even more mandatory to save on currency, cause the lobby is just gonna rip me off.

Very useful information. Thx a lot.

ive got a couple hundred hours and had no idea the spotlight had such good vision

i always just use leaders -_-

14:44 but thats just bloons tower defense at that point, especially with the zigzag stuff hahaha

Also, what do you think about setting troops on free move instead of hold? Will they get themselves killed?

I also find in conquest if you wanna get a good start on a faction play against them first you will learn what’s good early and what’s not worth  early on like the commonwealth for example I learned that their early tanks (the Matilda) are extremely hard to kill early with the equipment the Germans have they it took 2+ of the anti tank nades to disable it, but their early tanks and AT guns lack a HE shells and a are slow as hell.

For the mg lafettes i prefer to dig backwards foxholes i find it much easier for them to aim and still get substantial cover jormally up to their shoulders at least. Just always check aim fast in 3p mode to make sure they can engage

i played conquest once like about a year ago and the ai just rushed me even though i was attacking and i havent played since. love to watch though

The only thing OP from the side of the artillery, but not true artillery are the self propelled guns. On tanks they are devastating because of the range of the gun and the precision on the distance, they can snipe literally any single entrenched unit in the game, towed or no, outside vision. They should nerf at least the precision they got on the longer range

I like sending a recon soldier ahead of my high level sniper.

The best easy mode to run is easy with the Sovs. Get the NKVD TROOPS. Get maybe into light arty, The basic AA truck with a shield and then focus on mid or heavy tanks and you will have an awesome time. I do pref t34 over kv but both are solid tank lines and the NKVD inf with double hp and lower chance to get hit is super forgiving for new players

What do you think of the sandbag walls? Are they better than fighting holes?

Do foxholes protect from explosions? like does the explosion need to be closer to hit someone in a foxhole or trench?
