Your video was what I needed today. I had just gotten home from the hospital where my mom is slowly dying. I feed her, and just love on her. I have your book with me so I can look at it while she sleeps. My art making is so very different than yours, but I get energized and I love the colors and shapes and beauty of your art. And like I say, it helped me so much today. Thank you-from my heart. ~Debra

So happy to receive your mail today, when I should be cleaning the house I am enjoying a cuppa with Helen and her amazing art. Thank you.

Helen, I do appreciate these times when you look at art books and other creatives and pull little gems of ideas from their work. This is the second time I've watched this video, as it was really thought-provoking. I absolutely agree art can be a great mood uplifter and calming. The other phrase of 'being curious, observing and playing' is something else I will definitely remember as I continue with my own artmaking. It is a great way to learn and grow. I love your 'creative soup' style and await your next direction with eagerness!

Several times this year I've found myself in an artistic lull where your videos have kick started creativity. I just love the way you share your work and perspective!

I love your book referrals - I bought the one called "How Painting Happens - and why it matters" and I bought the pentel brush pen you mentioned. You are reminding me how important it is to treat my creative self with kindness, gentleness, and delight. Thank you!

Everytime when I watch you, I feel the your energy! Love that❤

Hello from rainy Vancouver, Canada! Your cheerfulness and beautiful, bright colours are just what I need today. Marion Deuchars' book looks like something I'd enjoy. I have disabilities that limit my energy and if I make art in small chunks of time then it's a sustainable (and enjoyable) practice. Thank you so much for sharing, Helen. Your videos always brighten my day. Peace to you.

I have downsized and had to seriously limit my art materials.  I haven't got back into "arting" yet as I don't have a clear worksurface.  But a video or two from Helen and I am drooling and getting to clearing a space for myself.  Thank you and thanks for your glorious, colourful and joyful creations!

I am always inspired by your videos. I don't think it even matters what kind of medium one works in, your ideas and examples and enthusiasm are always uplifting!

Hello and thank you, Helen. I love learning from the inspiration that you give us in your videos through your art practice. Thank you from South Surrey, BC, Canada. ❤

Very inspirational as usual Helen . ❤ This is exactly how it is a lot of the time. Its a process

Need that push today! ❤ I have not created much in over a month. Those books sound very good. 😊 Your videos always make me happy and feel inspired. I just need to get in there and create! Love those lovely paintings. 😊

Such an uplifting video, thank you for sharing your thought processes and how you adjust your methods.

Another uplifting and inspiring video! I particularly loved the (new?) blue/black/white paintings. I think they're vases with leaves coming out of the top, but to me they look like adobe houses with palm trees behind. I love the loose brush strokes.

Who was it that said Oh you are awful on an old TV show?  Well…I say it to you!  I have ordered a copy of Marion’s book and it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get to me in Hastings…but Down Under!
Thank you so much for another uplifting video.  I adore your work and have done some of you courses which I find so easy to follow.  Not so easy for replicate the beauty you deliver but loads of fun.
Thank you for bringing joy xxx

Sketchbook as a hunting ground - I love hat thought.
Thank you great ideas

Inspiring, interested, curious… your work is wonderful! Thank you for sharing!❤️🙏☮️

Yes, you have such positive energy...I love alll your videos, there is always something useful.  Thank you!

Very interesting to follow your way of doing, thinking… so pleased that you share that with us. Nice books suggestions too. Merci 😊

A delight as always to watch another inspiring video Helen.
Your finished pieces are beautiful 😍and your sketchbooks a true inspiration.
I’ve just started a large A3 DR book from watching your channel. I have 4 art journals in various sizes on the go.  I’m observing how long I’m taking on the first pages, trying to perfect a masterpiece rather than just playing and letting go. I’m still trying to find my style and creative language. It’s like I’m crawling, knowing I can walk but actually want to run but unsure of the direction if that makes sense?
Look forward to your next video and creative project Helen 🙏🏻😊🙏🏻
