That jewel deal is just bananas lol

I never thought Alanna Smith was worth that type of money. Cheryl Reeve literally benched her in the Finals because she couldn't box out and grab a rebound.

I think Las Vegas have painted themselves into a win-now-or-never corner.
They have given Lloyd (age 33) and Gray (age 34) 3 year max or near max contracts.
Although both are playing OK this year, at their age their form can fall off a cliff, leaving Las Vegas with salary cap issues and limited roster flexibility.

A lot of the FO's just absolutely caved / overpaid to get players. I think they had a lot of inexperience in dealing with roster building from the ground up. I think so many of the players were just ravenously trying to grab money, that weren't honest about their worth. A lot of them are going to be unhappy being shipped out for draft picks to teams they didn't want to play for. The players did it to themselves in tandem with the FO's.

It's going to be another off season of shuffling a big chunk of players and contracts around to build teams.

Budgeting went out the window with a lot of these teams. It's like they've never said "no" to the players because feelings would get hurt. Crazy mismanagement. 😂

No mention of Temi is a big oversight!  As soon as I saw the news about her contract, I saw it as a desperation signing.

You forgot Lexi Hull

The wings regret giving her that huge contact and drafting Azzi instead of Olivia. 2-7 since all-star break, I’m starting to look more at the upcoming draft 😢

Alana Smith is a product of Cheryl Reeve system.

The biggest joke was Alanna Smith sharing a Dpoy with Aja. She LITERALLY cant guard the 4s and 5s u need her to guard and she cant protect the paint. if u watch the games they throw her around like a rag  doll. Dallas truly blew PB first few years and yrs to come with moves they made and  drafting Azzi over Liv. That will go down as the biggest  draft day pass in W history. Instead of Paige and Liv being the best backcourt for yrs to come and competing for chips now and for atleast a decade, shes stuck on a middle of the pack team. Never let personal situations dictate your career and legacy. If u know u know

Bigs were overpaid and it’s going to really hurt teams next year, especially when EPIC clauses start kicking in on rookie contracts.

Sometimes the greatest moves are the ones you don't make. Cheryl Reeve didnt overpay Smith, Sheppard, Carlton or Heideman.

People keep saying Arike is overpaid when she is the only reason they are in the playoffs. She literally just won a game for them. Paige did nothing... Caitlin did nothing... It was the Mitchell vs Arike show!!! I know she is as inconsistent as Alisha and Rhyne, but all three of them can "activate takeover" any day of the week. Without her, Dallas is on the outside looking in. They have zero chance of winning a chip without her.

was waiting on dis

That's unfair to Ezi she was injured all season and she's better than fam right now and the storm's best defender
She's a regular all defense 1st team she's not a bum I think she's worth it especially since they don't have a cap problem

was waiting for this one 💯

if the boy making 4mill-300mill lets dem girls make they lil money....its 600,000 for a 2day contact in the nba

You completely missed the biggest cap trap in the entire league: the Indiana Fever. Locking Aliyah Boston into a 20% super-max for the next four years eats up way too much of the payroll. You cannot tie up that kind of long-term money and expect to keep both Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell at their proper market value.
Boston simply isn't worth 20% of the cap. Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell carry significantly more value. Yes, I know Caitlin Clark is still on her rookie contract and next season she's a restricted free agent, but the fact that both Clark and Mitchell haven't signed extensions yet tells you exactly what's going on—they aren't happy with the structure of the team and don't believe they can win a championship here under this setup.
If Clark can't win a ring in Indiana, she isn't going to stay; she has all the power to force a trade. They want rings right now, but they can't get them if the cap is choked out by this structure. Compounded by overpaying role players like Lexie Hull and Monique Billings, this kind of roster management doesn't build a champion—it just builds a team that caps out as a playoff squad with zero financial flexibility to get over the hump.

Aliyah Boston 🙄

A condensed free agency caused a lot of players to be overpaid. Teams like Dallas and LA are hamstrung by contracts that will prevent them from getting the necessary players for next season. You could have easily added eight players to this list. Lexi Hull, Skylar Diggins, Satu Sabaly, Brittany Griner, Monique Billings, DeWanna Bonner, Alyssa Thomas, Naz Hillman,

Atkins making more than plum lol l.a just sunk themselves so did chicago smh
