I'm so glad you've covered this case. I'm a huge fan of yours and I had the absolute privilege of meeting Emma several times when she was head of Croydon High School. Personally touched to see you speak about her.
Something you may not know, Emma was a huge advocate of making private education accessible to all. She forged a relationship with a foundation that gave children from less affluent families the opportunity to recieve free, private tuition to prepare them for secondary school exams. My daughter was chosen for the programme and she's now absolutely thriving at the school, with a bursary and an opportunity I could never have provided on my own. Emma was a huge part of that and she was truly one of the kindest, most amazing human beings I have ever met.

I was a coroner for three years before i quit. My last day was a family of five. The kids were 5, 4 and 2. My kids at the time were 2, 3, and 4. It hit way too close and i was done that day. I left and became a paramedic instead. Emma is right. It stays on our hearts and emotions for a long time. Ive shed so many tears for people i never knew after telling their family they were never coming home.

Those of us who've loved & lost felt every word of that beautiful poem.. one of the most touching things I've ever heard. RIP in each others arms little Lettie & Emma.

I've worked with children for 24 years    . They're so utterly precious , wonderful , intriguing, beautiful,
The way they see the world should be cherished

Oh Em, the way you read that wonderful poem at the end of your presentation has me in tears. What a beautiful tribute you have made to Emma and Lettie in telling their story. You are a very special person and your subscribers love you for it. Thank you xxx

Why don’t these men just get a divorce and leave, these story’s really affect me, I just can’t understand why you’d choose to kill your own flesh and your wife over just leaving!

Oh my gosh, that poem is unbelievable and hits hard for those of us who grieve 😢

I'm usually not a fan of poetry that doesn't rhyme but wow...that was absolutely beautiful and so heartfelt. May these 2 angels forever rest in peace.

I'm glad that you cover these type of cases! Back in 2020 one of business partner annihilated his soon to be ex-wife, her boyfriend and their one-year-old daughter chased his 8 year old down the road in the middle of nowhere, she survived it, she's only one out of all of them, he took his life when he couldn't catch her. It hurts me  how senseless it all was! It's nice to hear somebody from your profession explain the psychological part of such tragedies.

Good Lord that poem made me bawl, it was so beautiful and profound.

He had planned this for years. Complete monster. Narcissistic vicious, vindictive. He was losing control of everything.

I cannot explain how heart warming & heart wrenching that ending poem was. That was so profoundly beautiful.

Hey Emma! I just received my copy of The Serial Killer Nextdoor… when I asked my Alexa what was my notification, she said, “from Amazon shopping, 2 packages have arrived, including the Serial Killer Next Door… my husband said, what? You’re having criminals delivered now?!?! 😂

Excellent analysis, Emma. Your explanation of the punitive reason behind blaming Emma for the domestic violence incident in 2016, helped me understand why the same thing happened to me.  My abusive partner struck himself in the face when I went to leave him and called the police to lie and say I'd harmed him. I am a teacher too and I was put in a jail cell over the weekend until the case was dismissed on the Monday. Thankfully, I did leave him.

A little more light hearted..hope my neighbors aren’t watching me through the windows drinking wine.

I met your husband on Saturday at one of your shows when buying a hoodie (super comfortable) he’s very nice! I think he was surprised I noticed him! Loved the show! Waited for 7 months! Was not disappointed!

My daughter is disabled, and because of this, when she was small, we had a social worker working with us and helping us.
She would visit us once every couple of weeks, bearly a few months had passed when she asked me if my relationship with my partner was OK. I told her a couple of bits not much, I didn't want to seem like I was being dramatic.
From those few small bits, she told me it was abuse and helped me get away.
I didn't see it for what it was, i knew i didnt want to be with him anymore but i didnt know how to leave, i had no support from my family. I had a friend constantly telling me to get away, it took an impartial person standing outside to convince me.
It was years later, before I finally saw the relationship for what it was.
For me, part of being in an abusive relationship was not knowing it was abusive. In my mind, I was being dramatic and probably deserved it.

This is NEVER the case, it doesn't matter if you sleep with their father/mother, violence is not OK ❤

Ok. This was so sad. That poem made me cry. I feel so bad for Emma and Letti's remaining family.

Awww, that little girl looked just like him, how could he?💔

That poem at the end…wow, no words. Powerful, eloquent and heartbreakingly beautiful x
