1:30 The shot of Morpheus firing will forever be one of the coolest shots in cinema history

A good chunk of those motorcycle scenes had Carrie Ann Moss at the wheel. She learned how to drive a Ducati like that for the film. Such a badass, underrated actress!

Morpheus' knifing and blowing up the van is the most badass movie kill of all time.

Been what, 20 years now? I still think Carrie Ann Moss riding through that crowd is the coolest thing ever. Not to mention how awesome Morpheus was overall throughout this whole chase

Trinity on the Ducati is one of the most iconic things ever

The year is 2050. This is still the best highway chase scene in the history of cinema.

Lawrence Fishburne in this movie is the definition of smooth.

2:06 the keymaker was ready to jump on

18 years later, this is still the best chase scene ever and the music still kicks ass!

I can't believe Fishburne actually flipped over that truck with the katana slice. He had to practice for weeks to do it. That's commitment.

17 years later, and this scene still destroys 90% of modern day action scenes. This movie is absolutely incredible.

Sorry if I stick out like a sore thumb but my childhood remembered 2:08 the most

Can't believe people talk shit about Matrix Reloaded. This sequence remains undefeated. They had to build this highway (first ever freeway built by Hollywood @$2.5M)

I have to admit matrix was ahead of its time. It does still feels fresh to me

Morpheus clapping those ghosts is one of the most epic, the most anime scene in movie history and it ain't even anime.

@SaltyAppl3 4 years ago

They built their own highway for this whole action scene, amazing.

I love how nothing needs to be said when Morpheus is picking up the Key Keeper from Trinity. It's just so smart and doesn't ruin the tention. Also how the guy is excited to be alongside Trinity and Morpheus and doing all the cool stuff with them is priceless. Love it when action speaks for itself

This highway scene was probably one of the hardest to film love how everything came together and it’s still a beautiful scene to this day . The matrix was the movie that every other movie tried to be .
