It was quoted directly in the New Testament. Early Christians read it. Then it vanished from almost every Bible on earth. Tonight, the full Book of Enoch.

Why this one matters to me: the Epistle of Jude quotes Enoch by name — so a book most people have never heard of was once close enough to scripture to be cited as it.

The honest status: 1 Enoch is canonical only in the Ethiopian Orthodox (Tewahedo) Bible. Everywhere else it's considered apocryphal. That's the whole drama of it, and I'll tell it straight.
