How hard can it be to build with found, free materials? Is it worth cutting your own willow poles for making garden beds or edges? On a beautiful Autumn day, Sarah from Sarah's Shed went down to the local creek with a new pair of electric pruning shears, a 'can do' attitude - and gave it a go.
If you don't have willow growing like a weed in your local creek, you could use fruit tree and/or grape vine prunings. If you don't need garden beds you could make garden edges, gates or funky compost-holding cylinders. The philosophy is the same - why not make use of the materials you have already got?
