The best part of not disclosing my gender assigned at birth is watching transphobes flip-flop when they try to insult me
"You'll never be a woman!!"
"I know, thank you!"
"Wait, you're not a man! I can always tell!"
"I know, you must be really smart because I'm not."
"Wh- what are you?"
Eyes glow white and begins levitating
"Your feeble mind couldn't comprehend if I told you."

Hey Beard, I just came out as non-binary, I really appreciate you making this!

I actually cried at the end

not just bc the fact that my parents "don't believe in trans people" but also bc every time I opened up about my mental health, they would just say that I was "making it up"
so in those two situations the "how do I prove it to you" hit me hard

I present androgynous and stopped wearing my pronoun pin at work. There's still confusion present when I speak with customers but many people default to "they" . Letting that subtly happen has been freeing because if they want to be mean about my expression,  they'd really have to dig into it

as a bisexual, I can tell u that not existing is actually so fun and cool I love it

The obsession with nonbinary people being gen z is so weird to me. I have always identified outside of the binary. I used different words to describe it as a kid...but I've always known. I'm 35.

Imagine going up to somebody with one leg and being like “HUMANS HAVE TWO LEGS!”

Honestly, I don’t care what you identify as, you’re a human being with autonomy and freedom. You have free will for a reason, to me you are still a person.

" I just want people to see Ryan when they look at me instead of seeing a man." I really like this quote. It's a philosophy I've stuck by for the longest time. I still have absolutely no idea what I am but I have always wanted people to see me as me, instead of seeing me as a man.

As a fairly femme-presenting non-binary person I'm so happy you made this! I totally understand not wanting to talk about your gender online & I can't imagine what it's like to take all that harassment, but I really appreciate when you do it💜💛

I’m sorry you felt pressure to make this video and prove that we exist, because it really isn’t your responsibility, however as an NB person, I do want to say thank you Ryan! I appreciate you

Why is this a 42 minute video of an empty room with cuts to random clips and images?

The ending really touched me. I'm a cis woman, but I've had to battle with invalidation towards my depression, anxiety, and asexuality for as long as I can remember. Humanity has a long way to go, but we just have to keep believing it'll get better as long as we keep defending the validity of our experiences. Stay strong, everyone. ♥

I was a really die hard conservative christian person who used to think that they/them pronouns were bullshit and I didn't validate any of you guys. I didn't even validate trans men and women either. But four years ago I came out as a trans man😮 Still didn't respected non-binary tho, until one year later. I look back and feel sick thinking of how I treated non-binary folks. I just wanna say: if I can change, almost anybody can change I think☺ We can make this world better, never give up!✊

I am not NB, and yet... your song at the end made me genuinely cry. I could feel your emotions being poured into every note, and even though I can't personally relate, I understood every word perfectly. You deserve to be validated. All non-binary people do. And I will let nobody tell me otherwise.

I'm bi and have recently realized I'm nonbinary. I'm on spectator mode.

Ryan, I cannot thank you enough for making this video.
Almost exactly a month ago I began questioning my gender identity for the first time in my 33 years on Earth. I discovered beyond any shadow of a doubt that I am non-binary. That came after months of breaking down every aspect of my former self and creating a "new me".
I'm very privileged in that it was a beautiful, joyous, self-affirming change and almost everyone I know has validated this new me.
This video made me feel even more validated, more affirmed, more happy.
Thank you

I always grasped the concept of being a trans man or woman, but I had a hard time initially grasping the term nonbinary as a cis woman. I was always respectful of nonbinary people's pronouns and identity, but it was just not something I personally understood. Something that made me really understand how people can feel uncomfortable with their gender was when I (a cis woman) was called sir 5 years back. Not out of insult,  the customer service worker genuinely thought I was a boy for a second. It made me feel really bad and insecure, and I was like, I can't imagine going through that many times a day every day. Non-binary people - you are valid and I'm so sorry about all the shit you get. Sending all my love

I have a non-binary friend, when I first met them I was so unsure of their gender so I called them using they/them pronouns. I didn’t need to ask what they were because people already called them that when they finally told me I was fine with it I continued to call my friend what they wanted. What is so wrong with using a pronoun? Yeah we’ve been using ‘they’ as singular and plural for so long. Why does it become complicated when it’s used as an actual pronoun to identify nonbinary individuals now? It doesn’t make sense to me???
